I understand this, I am one of those people. Considering I didn't have the best childhood (I don't want to go into detail) this show is an escape to something innocent, like how I wish my childhood was. However, even with that in mind, I don't want to see something I love and cherish become a moldy pile of shit. Even with these great writers, there are only so many original ideas one can come up with.

So we all know my little pony is probably the greatest thing on t.v. right now, but even stars have their falling out. Do you want it to go out with some dignity or keep it running as long as possible? Me personally, I would have to let it die with some dignity, I don't want it to be the next pokemon with 11 series and only the first one is even slightly nostalgic.

I agree. The reason it feels so awkward is because she was originally the element of creativity, but they decided not to go with that as it seemed to mind-boggling for kids -_-.

I don't understand why you all hate Rarity so much. If its her attitude, I don't understand why people take her flaws the most personal when everypony has a flaw that no-one likes in a friend.

Hasbro would make a killing if they made accurate plushies, I would buy ten myself. I want to know who their product manager is and what drugs he's on.

I think you are forgetting that little girls also watch this show. Although we praise it for its deep story and rich character design, I don't think they would entice too much drama. However, MLP never ceases to surprise me, so who can honestly say.

Well Rarity's my favorite but I dont like make-up or looking good. I actually don't give two shits about my apperance (most of the time) Its so much more than that.

I am sorry but you are acting like these characters are real people, this is a fictional show. And this is getting ridiculous, my topic for discussion was that people instantly defluated to RD and fluttershy without giving much thought. Where are you people going in this conversation?

I feel as some characters in the show get too much attention from the fans for sometimes no apperant reason. I see too many people hype about how amazing Rainbow dash and Fluttershy are based on only physical appearance. I am not saying others don't have legitimate reasons, but it seems they get popular for that reason alone! I feel that the rest of the mane 6 get shunned by other characters because of this, Twilight and Rarity espically. What do you think about it? Edit: I guess I phrased this incorrectly, when I said appearance, I meant to say appearance and nothing else. I do agree that it is a person's opinion whether they like a character or not, But I think a lot of the opinions formed are underdeveloped or not given enough though.

I love Rarity I feel like she doesn't get enough love. She is probably the most developed character and alot of people are turned off by her actions in the first couple of episodes. However, all the ponies have traits that we hate to have in friends. Twilight is too by the book and strict, Applejack is too stubborn to accept help, even when her friends are dying to help, Rainbowdash is too hotheaded and sometimes refuses to listen to reason, Fluttershy is too scared to take on some challenges, and Pinke Pie is too random to take serious sometimes. I don't understand why people took Rarity's flaws so close to heart and refuse to acknowledge her redeeming qualities.

I cry alittle when I see that the most popular is rainbowdash or fluttershy. People usually pick them for their looks or atitude. Isn't one of the many great lessons we learned from MLP is to never judge a book by its cover. Obviously you can guess that I choose rarity from my profile pic, but I feel as if rainbowdash and fluttershy are overhyped because of their looks.

Increased: Rarity: I kinda liked her from the start but not that drastically. Only as the series progressed did she grow on me and eventually become my favorite character. I guess I can really appreciate the fact that she seems to have the most flaws yet is still able to overcome them. Spike: I didn't find him appealing from the start because I viewed him as the bad comic relief. However, during season two, when he began to question himself and his true origin, that hit me hard and made him seem more mature than at first glance. However, no amount of respect I have for him would make me wanna see spikexrarity. For those who don't realize, its almost like promoting child pornography. Decreased: Applejack: Everybody liked Applejack in the begining but her character became dull halfway through season one. I feel as if there just isn't enough story and flaws behind her to make her a realistic character. Fluttershy: She seems to break out of character too often in the show. She is supposed to be the shy one of he group, yet in many episodes (Forgive me for not knowing the names) she shows a darker and more outspoken side.
