DESCRIPTION OF WORLD

 

From all over different universes, characters have resided in dimensions from books, movies, comics, television shows, video games and more. However, there is one being that exists within the crossroads of every one of these universes, who has named himself "The Overlord". He is a faceless being of nearly infinite power, living in a realm named "The Multiverse". This mysterious Overlord enjoys bringing various characters from secluded universes and watching how they would react with each other, as if they were toys. He has been monitoring the beings that reside within the other universes, deciding on which characters were worthy enough to be brought into his realm

 

The Multiverse itself is made up of all sorts of buildings from all sorts of time periods. From the old west, to medieval Japan, to the future. There are townhouses, castles, caves, skyscrapers, tree-houses, and so much more. They tend to group together by type with appropriate terrain nearby but they also shift and move around the city as a whole. Entire structures appear and disappear, either by itself or by the Overlord's will. The Multiverse is surrounded by darkness on all sides. It is alone in an otherwise empty existence. In the center of the city is a gigantic hourglass. Every 24 hours, the sand from the top of the glass fills the bottom. When that happens, the entire hourglass rises into the air, flips over, and slams in the ground, the earthquake-esque vibrations shooting through the entire Multiverse. This marks the passing of each day, when a new "theme" occurs. These "themes" can have various effects, sometimes positive, often times negative

 

Whenever a new character arrives from their home universe, they wake up in the city. It's alright to bring a base/dwelling place, a companion or whatever else the character normally has with then within reason. If it's a base/dwelling place it becomes incorporated into the Multiverse and becomes part of it. If they have a communication device, they will find that it now has a strange button on it. If they do not, they will receive one related to their theme and home universe. The characters will also tend to function on the laws of their home universe (So anime physics for anime characters, video game physics for video game characters, etc.)

Please do not join if you're not familiar with serious, structured RPing

 

No script format. Narrative style only

 

A minimum of at least 2 sentences in every post is suggested. I'm not going to enforce this very much

 

You're not allowed to choose stupidly powerful characters. You know who I'm talking about, characters like Superman, Goku, Haruhi Suzumiya, Alucard, Galactus, Bruce Willis, etc. Keep it at least somewhat fair

 

You're not allowed to choose any people that actually exist in real life, or fan characters from an existing fiction. Keep it to pre created, non existing characters

 

Keep in mind that there will be fighting in the RP, so I would suggest playing a character that's good at fighting, or at least can protect themselves some other way

 

This is meant to be a serious, structured RP. Please don't join if you're used to the casual, no rules, silly, script style RPs. This is NOT one of those. Please don't just play random, silly characters that exist solely for the purpose of a joke or something, and in the same sense, don't play portray your characters in a completely silly way. They can be comedic, but that can't be the only thing about them. They have to be characters that can be taken seriously to some degree

 

This isn't a requirement, but I would really prefer this: Try to avoid choosing characters from something obscure and unknown. Since a lot of the stuff that happens in the RP is based around me interacting with your characters, I'd rather not have too many characters I know nothing about. Not saying you have to, just a suggestion. A strong suggestion. Here's a list of shows, movies and games that I know enough about:

Cole McGrath finally woke. When his eyes opened, an unfamiliar futuristic city greeted him. Everything was sleek and stylish, with tall, ominous skyscrapers and buildings overlooking the bright, neon streets. The streets themselves looked and felt as if they were made of some sort of hybrid of glass and plastic, and definitely manmade. The city's light came from the immeasurable amount of neon lights, signs and video screens, which was blinding despite the fact that it appeared to be midnight. The video screens filled the air with sounds of news reports, advertisements and other televised programs. Cole had no idea where he was, but he knew he wasn't in New Marais anymore

The man in green opened his eyes. A black abyss was overhead, and as he tilted his head slightly to the right, he could see the UNSC Forward Onto Dawn Frigate, luckily still in one piece. Slowly getting up, Master Chief got a quick fix of the area. He was in, what seemed to be, the middle of a desert. However, out in the distance his keen eye caught the outlines of skyscrapers and other buildings that didn't seem familiar to him. Where was he? How did he get here? Did the slipspace jump do this? All questions he wanted find answers to, but had no way of getting them. He also hoped the Arbiter was okay, as he was on the Frigate with Chief

 

::Chief, you okay in there?:: Cortana asked

 

Cortana's voice, quickly snapping Chief out of his distant thoughts, was a relieving sound. Glad that she was okay, Chief then climbed up to his feet and glanced over at the broken down Frigate in attempt to find for the Arbiter. If he was still alive, he would be in there

Yoko Littner slowly opened her eyes as she started to regain consciousness. She struggled to sit up so she could figure out where she was. All she could see was a large, empty skyscraper on one side of her, and a black abyss on the other. Where was she? What happened to her? How did she get to this bizarre place? All questions that Yoko had to answer later, as he realized that this was not the time for standing around and being vulnerable, and immediately climbed onto her feet. For all she knew, this could be a trap set up by a gunman or something, and she didn't want to just play right into their hands. She instinctively checked her Barret M82 and her sidearms, which were fine and didn't seem to be sabotaged. She soon started walking towards the skyscraper, hoping to scope someone or something out

When you say Alucard which one do you mean? Because I'd like to be the Alucard from Castlevania. If there is still room of course.
