MLP Forums is the most friendly forum I've ever been a part of, and I can say that the other forums I occasionally visit don't even come close. Everyone here is unique, and not afraid to show it, and I feel like I can completely be myself here and not be made fun of for being different, or have to try and be what other people are. Now I waste most of my time being silly in Cloudsdale and moderating RP World as opposed to... obsessively refreshing DA, which I was doing before. And then there's the people who fanboy me for reasons probably best known only to themselves. (I think the reasons can be summed up with: OMG SHE'S A GIRL AND A MOD ) I... haven't been fanboyed or received that sort of attention in quite some time. (No seriously, I love you guys, I'm just messing around.) On a more serious note, I did meet a very good friend from here. He is one of my best friends, and apparently seems to care for me deeply even in the short time we've known each other. And um, well, I learned about moderating and how to manage a forum section. I also learned a lot of patience from that, and that I'm actually capable of doing something when I previously thought I was inept and incapable of doing much because of my erratic emotional nature. I didn't really think I'd ever... actually be trusted to have moderation powers in a forum this big, as well as having managed my own section almost single-handedly. It was something that was gradual, but surprising to think about in hindsight. Though most of my attitude was changed by copious amounts of therapy and finding love, I can say that being here has made me realize a bit more about the good in me. It is safe to say that the fun has been doubled. Uh, YEAH. The only reason I'm typing this right now and am not a pile of ashes in a urn is because of the beautiful people I'm met here. NeverNeverland 1,940 May 26, 2012 Share May 26, 2012 There has been many threads about this topi- oh, you meant the FORUMS. Alright. Well, first off I don't study and do my work as much as I SHOULD. By the way, this may mean I may not be on in two weeks for the next two weeks. The big change was the music I listen to - as I've discovered new bands to check out (Libertina with Gamma Ray, Vicke with Korpiklaani), and then there are the genres that I've known little to nothing about I learned more about (Envy and Swoop with the Classical Thread, RKA and the Electronic genre due to our chats, Zoop with the Rap Thread to an extent). I was basically able to expand my horizions, and I've met some pretty cool people and a good bunch of friends. One last thing that changed me was that the forums forced me to think more about how to post in a smarter manner. Which meant that it taught me to think before posting (For the most part anyway). I have nothing better to do so I stick around. XD Sometimes it can be fun, and while I'm up there on "Most Hated Member" for a lot of people there's the occasional friend who I, within four months, will piss off and lose. It's a vicious cycle!
