Best thing thats ever happend to you within the fandom?

Of you don't know where I am coming from i mean stuff like meeting your bestfriend or meeting your now partner and it can range to a lot of stuff. So what's the best thing thats ever happend to you within the fandom?

For me it would be meeting the awesome community behind it and I have made a few really good friends since I joined the fandom.

There is no event that stands out amongst others of my life, but the best thing would have to be all the friends I have made since joining the fandom. All the wonderful people from entirely different areas of the world, joined in friendship over a cute cartoon pony.

I don't know if this counts but finding out my friend was a brony. We sang the theme and discussed for hours. And finding bronies on games like Call of Duty. And sending them brohoofs and stuff.

I can't really think of anything really other then the friends ive made. 

 

I guess maybe when i found out the fandom even existed? (i had watched season 1-3 on Netflix and i din't know their was a huge following of the show) 

 

Also i guess there's the fact that no one has treated me badly yet,despite the fact that im insane off my rocker.

I think one of the best things was finding this. It's a plain but visible testament to one of the show's greatest virtues and justification for enjoying it. One reason among many, but it's a big one. I have to credit bronies for doing two big things for me.

 

1. Supporting me when I was depressed and homesick while studying abroad. A fellow fan sent me a blind bag toy free and I still keep it close to my desk three years later to remind me of the kindness in the world.

 

2. Giving me friends and a social life when I returned home from college. I was warned that going to college out of state I would have a hard time making friends when I come back. Two random bronies stopped me at Anime Expo and referred me to a brony meetup page and now I have a big group of amazing friends that have supported me when I've needed it most.

Before I write my own reason, I absolutely love how almost all of these have to do something with friendship. I mean, after all, the show is all about Friendship, it's even in the damn title, "Friendship is Magic"! And as fans of the show.. it's what we're gaining from it. I find that utterly beautiful.

 

 

Me myself, also get to say of the wonderful friends I have met from this community! Both the show and the people within helped me when school was bad, and now everything's so much better!

Well, probably being able to enjoy a cute lovable show with the community. I was in a depressed trance when I found mlp. The show and fandom has really lifted my spirits, it's really the only thing keeping me from being a sack of useless potatoes. Instead of just living day by day because I have to, I enjoy my time to the fullest with friends and family, no longer sulking over life.

Same here I think! Of course I haven't been into the fandom for long but, the time I have been I've really enjoyed it! It's been pretty great knowing that if I'm bored or upset I can always go on the forums or, go and talk with some online friends.

 

It's also nice seeing that there's (at least not from what I can tell) not too much bashing on here, which has been very nice and refreshing due to the fact that there was on another forum I was on years ago.

 

And I guess, it's encouraged me to consider doing fanart, I've also been wanting to try writing and I've been thinking about doing that, though I don't really like it too much.

I completely agree. Without these wonderful people that I met on the forums or my friend introducing me to the show, I would have never came here. When I feel down or upset, everyone here is there for me. I'm there for them in return.
