Is it a big deal if MLP:FiM started to have product placement?

Just came back from another Hasbro owned movie that was saturated in Product Placement *Cough* Transformers: Age of Extinction *Cough*, and I was wondering, would it bother you if MLP:FiM started  to have product placements (like Coca-cola, Victoria's Secret, Mcdonalds), ponified and/or nonponified?

 

Man I thought the product placement in the Transformers movie was distracting. That's what I think of this.

If this paid product placement, I've never seen it in kids shows. I don't think kids would understand it, if it's a more adult product. Unless it's maybe a toy related to the show.

 

Bottom line, kids don't have money.

I... doubt they would use product placement. In a live action flick, or live action t.v, yeah they use it, but the only time it's used in cartoons are shows like Family Guy and South Park, and even then, you don't pay attention to it.

It would irk me slightly to be completely honest. The creativity that comes with products in a show like this comes from making them up yourself. Even then, it wouldn't make much sense anyway. MLP doesn't particularly have technology for something like McDonalds if you know what I mean? Even in Manehatten typewriters are used instead of computers. I just don't see something like that. It's not necessary, either.

I would be slightly crushed annoyed by it.

 

But I highly doubt that It will happen. MLP is still aimed at smaller children, and a much younger audience. These children wouldn't be affected by the use of product placement. They have no money to spend at MC D's or Coke.

 

But then again...

 

How is this product placed within the show? Is it a clear name, or a parody? If a clear name, Then I would punch my fist through the scre... Then I would be disappointed in Hasbro. If a parody. Then impressed. People can barely get away with coughing in public  without getting sued, these days.

If done well, and rarely, I'd get a kick out of it.

I highly doubt product placements outside of movies will happen. Perhaps parody's of popular products,but not the real thing. MLP:FIM just isn't that kind of show.

 

Tho i can't say id care either way if it happened in the show,just mystified by it.

I picked no, but really, it depends.

 

Product placement wouldn't bother me if it were done like in this picture:

 

 

 

It'd be completely original and honestly kind of a cool reference, as long as it was done in moderation and not spewed all over the place

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'd kind of be irked if they did it like in this picture, though, but not too badly.

 

I chose "no" because they ponified city names (Fillydelphia, Los Pegasus, etc.) and that leads me to believe they don't want real world items in the FiM universe, so any product placement would likely be ponified, which would be pretty cool as long as they weren't slapping everyone over the head with it

Outside of it being incredibly out of place unless they fond clever ways to implement them? Probably not
