I wouldn't judge Cryptopsy based on one shitty cover they did. They've released some of the greatest technical death metal albums, and Lord Worm is fucking brutal. Plus, they're one of my favorite Canadian bands.

 

 

This is from None So Vile. I adore all of their albums, EXCEPT FOR THE UNSPOKEN KING, WHICH IS PURE TRASH.

Nonononono, you didn't read that right. I said the cover sucks - horribly. I knew Cryptopsy from a while back, because their drummer Flo was touring with Annihilator for a bit. Cryptopsy is a good band, a very good one indeed.

Sorry. I was listening to Peace Sells a while back and I can't decide which one is better. RIP has that progressive yet aggressive taste to it, yet Peace Sells has a lot of REALLY fucking evil songs! Specially Bad Omen and Devils Island! KIMB still is my top choice though.

It's not the fact that songs suck (granted there are only a few that do suck) but rather a good chunk of the material on it we've already heard. For instance, the songs made for games (Never Dead, Sudden Death), the B-Side tracks (songs that were already written MANY years back), and such. IF this album was released as a B-Sides album, this would've been ingenious of Megadeth, but its not. Also, Public Enemy #1, one of the most disappointing Deth songs ever.

This is exactly what I mean by evil. The best part about it is that you can really see the Jazz influences in the playing, making it that much more sweeter.
