mega thread Metal Thread

Glad to hear you're sticking around! There's always room for more constant posters in this thread.

Not to mention that if you have a good computer, this entire thread is basically the best metal playlist ever.

Glad to be here as well!

Alas, I do not have a very good laptop, so I will be forced to playing a small amount of media at a time. It is an honor to be getting great music here, though!

I think my favorite album from them would have to be A Night at the Opera. A really solid album from start to finish, but I'm also a big fan of Tales From the Twilight World and At the Edge of Time. I really like the direction they're going with their music. If I had to name a favorite song, it tends to change from week to week, but I've always really liked "The Soulforged".

That is a very nice choice! For myself, I would be choosing "And then there was Silence" just for the pure epic that it truly is. With all the instruments playing at once, you cannot focus on a single beat, which keeps you riding the wave of music the entire way through.

Night at the Opera is may favorite as well!

I just went on a massive brohoofing spree because of all that Death back there...

Some Neuraxis, because that band is amazing.

@@Scale, You might like Control Denied. It has the guitar player from the Death Metal band Death, and the singer from a Power Metal band.

I am listening to this as we speak. I had my speakers turned to a high volume on accident, so the beginning scared the living hell out of me. But dang, this is amazingly nice. I am digging the singers voice.

Tyr is indeed awesome. I really only have a few power metal bands I listen to consistently. Dark Moor happens to be one of them but they've really evolved their sound over the years. They're more of a Symphonic Metal band now which is indeed awesome. This is from one of their earlier albums.

I can't post the song response I wanted (Damn you, Sonicwall!), but I'm very alright with Tyr. You have now received...

Again, Neuraxis advertising. I may be posting these guys too much, but they have quickly risen to be one of my favorite bands.

Because I felt like posting something melodic yet heavy.

Other people who like Night at the Opera aswell? I love Night at the Opera. It doesn't quite edge out Imaginations from The Other Side, but it is still absolutely epic. Speaking of Blind Guardian, well here is one of my favourite songs by them:

It's absolutely wonderful to meet another Blind Guardian fan for once! You wouldn't believe how unknown they are on other forums, it is quite upsetting! What would be your favorite song or album by them?

Woah I came to this thread just to post Blind guardian :D its soo cool to find other fans

Blind Guardian is slowly taking over this thread, yay. Here's one of my favorite songs of theirs, since The Soulforged was just posted.

Well, it was bound to happen one day. If there was gonna be an SYL influx, we should have a Blind Guardian influx too. Since I know jackshit, I'll sit out and post the new Evile music video.

...I swear it's as if a child with ADHD was controlling the camera changes...

Why haven't I listened to this album sooner?! It is amazing! Faster than Sound of Perseverance.

It'll be over soon. Hopefully.

It's the closest album to Progressive Thrash, then Symbolic/TSOP. Why do you think I rate it so highly?

Maybe it won't. Haha, Power Metal is fun! Enjoy it! Speaking of enjoying stuff.

I really like this, looks like I found another band to add to my ever growing list. I fear this may be happening a lot in the near future.

Let me help out a tad bit more.

-Enter The Grave is great if you like fast riffs and all-out Thrash. It may come off as childish, but it sounds raw and fun.

-Infected Nations is the least favourite of the three albums released, but it has a technicallity and creepiness to it that makes it very unique. Highly recommend the last two songs on the album.

-Five Serpent's Teeth is a combo of ETG and IN, but with a little more Metallica influence. The songs are REALLY diverse, have the pace and fun from Enter The Grave and the improved songwriting abilities from Infected Nations. A must have if you like Evile regardless.

Yeah I can definitely see the Metallica influence, and I'm glad they don't overdo it like some bands. *cough*Trivium*cough* I've never been that much into thrash but I do enjoy a bit every now and then.

I'm gonna go on a limb and tell you my opinion so excuse the words - don't like Trivium, won't like Trivium, fuck 'em. There's tons of new age bands that can do Thrash soooooo much better than Trivium, Metallica influence or not.

But yeah,Thrash is for the wild and the reckless. Good ole' fun! :D

I never liked Trivium, and after the release of The Crusade they lost all hope of getting me to like them. I was never a big fan of metalcore anyways.

Agreed. Now, you're a fan of Ensiferum, correct?

New music video. I have no clue of them, but I think you might like it.

I'm eagerly awaiting Unsung Heroes to be released later this month, but yeah I didn't know they released that video yet. I'm a huge fan of Ensiferum, as they're probably my 2nd favorite band.
