That first sketch was in paint? That's far better than what I can do. I personally don't use paint as I see it as just a basic tool. But none of the less, it's surprisingly well, especially for your first and being in Paint, double points for that. I would recommend Ponyscape which is a dedicated variant of Inkscape, which is a GNU vectoring software. I'd highly recommend it and I can't stress it enough. With those downloaded, draw and do whatever you want at first, try to familiarize yourself. You might want to also check out R4inbowR4ge and Flutterguy137. They sure helped me become a decent vector artist, still learning though. I'm sure you'll become very good at it! Just keep up the good work and effort!

For me, it's usually making something that is custom and original. Something that there is no reference to use as. So you have to make some sort of bare-bones, then work around that, do some minor tweaks just so it can look good. Another thing are eyes, positioning them correctly, making appropriately proportionate sizes as well; trying to make them not look derped out.

Quite hard to see the details on your drawing. Might want to upload a larger image, for me at least. I'll give it a try though. I'm not as pro as others but I'm sure another vector artist might be able to work with that. Also, your upload looks very similar to my first drawing of a pony I did/uploaded a while back on this site - similar in color saturation and tone.

Okay, I just found something that's important to me, a new song released by a favorite band! To be honest though, I'm not quite sure that I'm entirely happy. I just listened to Insomnium's new song "Ephemeral" from their EP that they're releasing. And no, I've listened to all of Insomnium's songs before. I know their lyrics by heart from In The Halls of Awaiting to One For Sorrow - they're my favorite band with Above The Weeping World and Since The Day It All Came Down being my favorite albums. However, their new song... it sounds slightly disappointing to me... Edit: It's not a good song - it's actually quite generic, slight resemblance of them. I personally feel it's no where near their older works. Their songs felt and sounded truly melancholic and melodic. Is it just me? Compare to their older songs - specifically my favorite.

I'd say Google Chrome - Although unstable, I'd say Chrome for browsing, if that fails then Palemoon Task manager - Some things just get stuck and unimportant process need to be killed Inkscape (Ponyscape) - everyone needs their advanced drawing software Explorer - how else can I access these files and applications on windows (other than cmd)? Utorrent - I use this when certain companies offer a torrent file like DCS World because I can't just pause a large download while using Chrome and shutdown my pc then have that download continue from where it was left off. And also, DAP slows windows boot down and tends to freeze on processes quite a bit.

This is still in a stalemate. It's been months and still no defined idea yet. By months, I mean maybe 5 months before this very post and topic. I would consider maybe some sort of hammer or chisel, but I'm not a stone mason or sculptor. Possibly a hammer for smithing/repair (armor or computers/devices) but when it comes to art, I think it's rather generic in my mind. E.g. - a paint brush. It's hard to come up with something symbolic and represents talent, with a hint of personality all in one package. Especially when compared to the quality of the shows. My lack of any concept is ridiculous, perhaps there needs to be adjustments on my character in order to consider other ideas for a cutie mark?

500+ you say? I hope there's still room for my OC- Arctic Silver. He doesn't have a cutie mark (yet - just can't seem to think of a design). But I guess that means less editing. If you need an idea on the hair style, since the helmet covers up just about all of his mane, just refer to my avatar; I shouldn't be changing it anytime soon. Also, don't worry about the armor, it was just for fun.

I had some time on my hands so I decided to do a quick design of a mark. It wasn't exactly as I said before; more of a prototype. I'll probably just make a new one or start from there. I'll try to make some changes according to your ideas and liking.

Hmm, all I got for names is: Ice Storm, Winter Breeze, Cool Breeze (unintended references). I believe you already have a name, as for a cutie mark; A snowflake with a light blue thunder bolt comes to mind or some sort of glacier with a light blue bolt.

A small suggestion here. If your pony is into fashion, I would consider it to be a unicorn e.g. Rarity is into design and fashion. Since unicorns are "fancy", tend to be luxurious, and most activities are usually done indoors (another example - Twilight does a lot of studies). Where as an earth pony and pegasus are usually outside, pegasus fly, earth ponies are strong and have a special connection with nature. If you need a cutie mark, you can ask me to make one. It'll just have to be explained clearly (because that's the only way I can actually function, I'm rather proprietary; sadly.) A bit long but just a thought.

This actually helps very very much, more than might think. I appreciate your feedback greatly. I've been at a stump for months! It's insanity! I actually was thinking about that right before you posted it. Strange, are you telepathic? I'm thinking about sticking to something similar to that. I was thinking, possibly a frozen, frost bitten, wind blown, ice paint brush. Thank you very much again! If I can pay 1$ for every extra brohoof on that post, I would brohoof it 8 more times! Because that's all I have left on me.
