The weekend is here! (and over.. sadly...) Love classic "Covenant" but their name is now "The Kovenant" still awesome though.

Also, for some games, that i love mainly classics, but I love the new serious sam soundtrack (The fireman sam metal intro reminded me of it)

Stop bashing my flawless image with disgusting words of TesseracT! :(

Your hatred runs deep within your veins. Also, I found the best review of Lulu you will ever see. It really dissects the entire record and is very in depth.

And now something not as suckadocious.

Chaosphere is so fast, by Meshuggah standards. Though almost every Meshuggah album has differences.

That's why it's my favorite. It has all the djent riffing and the speed that I wish they retained better on later releases. Although I do like a good groove.

One of my favorites from Deconstruction, along with Juular.

And apparently, the Country Western version of Juular is now my funeral music. So wicked.

Okay, sooooooooo... these guys are from Long Island. Like me. Gotta support the local stuff. It's not fair that they don't have a label, because what they're doing blows my mind.

Does that mean your funeral will be in Alabama, and that the Apple Family will be attending?

On a separate note...

Nice avatar.

I made it myself :) Took long enough because it took me forever to realize that I had to change the tolerance of the magic wand to 16 to get it to work right.

Time to get funkay with a band that sucks.

I'm sure most of you know of Veil of Maya.

They're pretty cool. Haven't listened to much of them yet, though. I'm GOING to later today, most likely. I have everything from Common Man to Eclipse. I don't have their first because TWO GUITARISTS.

I think the amount of talent in this band is unmatched in metal, Opeth isn’t for everyone but you can’t deny when it comes to these guys and their instruments they have got some serious skill.

Plus I’ve always had a special place in my heart for these guys, gotta give it up to Trivium.

Looked into some VoM like I said. Finding some good stuff. Very technical for what it is. Many bands in this genre are chugs fer dayz and it's good to see that there are innovators. Plus there are polyrhythms :D

Not band! Deathdjentcore.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzpKsjjehdc&feature=relmfu

So I heard some of you guys like After the Burial. Recommendations, maybe? :D :D :D

Everyone says VOM and After the Burial are like, the greatest "deathcore" bands ever.

THAT INTRO!

I like what I've seen in this thread so far.

Sonata Arctica is best power metal. I really prefer their older albums over their new ones, but they're still good.

Personally, I prefer 3IOB as best power metal, but I'm not gonna get into that. What do you think of Stones Grow Her Name?

The new Ensiferum album came out today, I so very much enjoy this. I'm still in the process of listening to it, but this is the track that stands out the most so far. That chorus is ridiculously awesome, still not better than Twilight Tavern though.

So... I stumbled across something called Cannabis Corpse. A death metal band that sings about Cannabis and getting high. It's all right I guess, kind of strange.

I've been seeing both of those bands since forever. Back when all VOM had was a three song demo with a little plastic jacket, and before ATB had an album out.

Old ATB didn't use 8 strings, and tuned almost normal compared to new ATB, but I still love them. Have some of the original stuff.

I've talked about these guys before! ;_; They're one of my favorite death metal bands.

Great thread guys, I am not much into death, black. Too dark imo :/.

I think there's something called Christian Black Metal ;) Definitely not dark, but I haven't heard enough to actually form an opinion on it.

Posted this, but I'll post it again.

Don't know much about black metal, myself. But I do know a few Christian bands that have some heavy shit out there.
