Piercings... I'd have to kill an animal worthy of such in order for me to even CONSIDER getting a piercing. It's always been a massive amount of respect in my culture if you're a dude and you've gotten a piercing. Other than that, I don't plan on it.

Mainly because idiots think they're cool getting piercings (if you can call it that) like this.

Okay, you have a good point there. I do hate it when people obviously do whatever they can to look weird and flaunt their "uniqueness" whenever possible, then say shit like "oh I'm just expressing myself". But one or two piercings isn't that bad. Hell, most people don't even notice mine. One of my old teachers that I see just about every day didn't notice my nose piercing until like a month ago, and I've had it since September!

I only have my ears pierced so far. I would like to get an industrial, but I heard it hurts like heck, and I'd need to find a professional to do it with a needle. I also want a nostril piercing, but I don't know if it would look good on me, and I'm also kinda afraid of getting a keloid (that's be the worst, a terrible keloid right in the middle of my face. My life would be over!! lol).

I've got some pretty unique piercings going on right now.

One lobe piercing on BOTH ears, damn I'm hardcore. I've thought about getting a helix piercing during college, but it depends on how I feel then and how much it will cost. As for what I like, I think gauged ears look cool in moderation (I even have some little fake plugs). Any bigger than an inch is pushing it for me, but I've known people with 3in gauges that you could throw an eraser through. Fun games. I used to like lip piercings but not so much now, I prefer them to stay on the ears. A lot of people can pull it off, but the amount of bad snake bites at my school has deterred me.

I'm still missing the point of how what someone does with their body is bothersome to anyone else? A nose piercing may be all you want, that is fine for you. It doesn't give you the right to judge other people for doing what they like. At some point, it was only the people who were obsessed with flaunting their "uniqueness" who got nose piercings in our culture. Now, it just happens to be commonplace. Hell, I know a few women in their late 50's-early 60's who have got their noses pierced. Its not much different than having ones earlobes pierced now. But at some point, it was only for the super weirdo crowd. Whatever happened to the message of loving and tolerating everyone?

Yea the same friend that got his nipple piercing told me,"A lot of girls have it too." And you telling me, I guess it's not too uncommon. :o

When I was a kid I briefly (but seriously) contemplated a "snake bite" pair of lip piercings like the one shown on the cover art of Godsmack's first album:

I still think it's sexy as fuck, but I simply cannot continue my current (very lucrative) job while sustaining that kind of procedure.

I got my tongue pierced when I became 18 years old and for a while I really wanted dimple (cheek) piercings (example), but didn't get the permission to get them done.

Now I'm thinking about piercing my ears more. I have one earring hole in each side and tried to get 2nd ones but they always got infected so I took the earrings out. :( Someday I might get a belly button piercing, too. Although I hear that's really slow to heal... (+ I'd like to have some abs first. )

I don't have any piercings. I've thought about getting my ears pierced but I don't think I will.

I'm not a big fan of people who go over the top with their piercings. Sure it's their decision, but I just don't think it looks good when some has a ton of piercings.
