Your OC can be whatever you want it to be, whether someone else says it's awful or not. And if you're not sure it's good you can always ask people to look at it and help you improve.

I agree fully with Lyra here @Zachary you think everyone is going to think anything is a good name for a pony? hell my first thought's for my OC was either "Colt'iok Trottermare Buckstallion Gallopmane (silent p)" or Fillimane Neighmare Sinhay  which are very Punny names but in the end I went with "Caster Forge'iron" as my first OC and that came to me after I chose a color and a mark, he's not brilliant but he's a lot better then he was when I started ¦)
