Granny Smith

Source of vast knowledge and wisdom.

Aged and respected member of the Ponyville community.

Beloved member of the prolific Apple Family.

Stern talker-to of Zap Apple Jam jars.

Geriatric comedian.

And, believe it or not, she was young once!

Post, fellow Granny Smith fans.  POST AWAY!

Note: for the variety of apple (not the pony), seek out the produce section of the nearest grocery store.

I find it surprising that one of Ponyville's most historic citizens only has her own fan club as of today :o

Yay for AJ's granny!

Granny Smith can be surprisingly spry for her age:

I hope *I've* got moves like that when I'm older.  Heck, I don't even have moves like that NOW.

(edited)

Zap Apples gave Granny Smith an unnaturally long life (Zap Apples are, like, the One Ring).  Spoilered 'cause hugeness:

  Reveal hidden contents

The first image proves that she'd secretly had contact with the life-prolonging Zap Apples even before she said he had!  Either that, or extended exposure to ZA energy ultimately had a Benjamin Button-esque effect on Granny. xD  Idunno.  Ask science.

That's a good theory... But I actually think she's a Timelord! Here's young Granny Smith time traveling to the future to hold her granddaughter whilst she's still just a filly herself!

My mom loves this song:

Granny Smith has the best lyrics, IMO: "We're peas in a pod, we're thick as thieves.  Any cliche you can throw at me."  Good schtuff, Granny, good schtuff.

You are darn tootin I like this idea, Granny Smith is what I could see Applejack being like in 40 or 50 years from now. I always liked Granny Smith but the episode Leap of Faith made me like her even more and I wrote a blog about it after that episode first aired.

This was the highlight of "Sisterhooves Social" for me:

"Is this thing on?  I don't think this thing is on.  Hello!  What's the...? Eh? You have to say so. Confangled, modern dohickey! Now, the event you've all been waitin' fer! The Sister Soci- The Socialhooves... Oh, dagnabbit! You know, the big race! We have five teams this year fer the event! So all y'all head on out to the finish line, hear?  The start line!  That's what I said."
