Well since we now have the greatest GAME of all time, I found it appropriate for the greatest game GENRE of all time. And now I can actually make it a poll. For me, I find that Rpg seems to be the best genre, because they usualy have the longest game time, and keep you more entertained. Now let's here from the bronies on the forums, let your opinion's flow ;D

The lack of a fighting option disturbs me.

Melty Blood

Scarlet Weather Rhapsody

Dead or Alive

Soul Calibur

Arcana Heart

Fate/Unlimited Codes

I voted quite a few because I love so many genres though I would definitely have to put RPGs first and foremost. I absolutely adore RPGs.

Messing with equipment is fun, especially when it's something like Final Fantasy IX and equipment and ability learning are directly tied. Though I don't particularly care for equipment that has special properties tied to it like halving poison damage. It basically tells me that I either have good stats or good status ailment prevention and rarely do they ever overlap.

Of course there's also great stories out there and I don't care what anyone says, Star Ocean 4 is a great game for story. Though I feel Star Ocean 3 is even better for story, including the plot twist (Yeah, I said it), I definitely love the characters of SO4 far better than SO3.

I also love RPGs like Oblivion and Fallout 3 too though. I don't deal with the "JRPG/WRPG" crap because at the end of the day, an RPG is an RPG and where it comes from is rather irrelevant.

I also love fighting games a lot too and recently been playing a lot of Marvel vs Capcom 2 but the Bloody Roar series will always hold a special place in my hearts. (**** yeah for BR5 coming out soon. :D)

I love Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus so I wanna get the Blazblue games to see the spiritual successor.

My favorites are adventure games, and adventure RPGs. I like sci fi and fantasy.

I feel like you should get rid of "Browser" and replace it with "Sandbox." I love games that let me do whatever the heck I want.

That's really all there is to say on the matter.

Can I ask what a "browser" game is? Do you mean like...flash games? Because if you do then that's not accurate as flash games are more like a different platform rather than a genre as they fall into multiple genres themselves. I've played Platformer, Adventure, RPG, Strategy, Puzzle, Action and even fighting games in flash games.

You just had to choose the one that no one would think of :P

Had to amend my vote a bit...

Fighters/board & card/text-based.

I've come to appreciate good board and card games a lot in recent years, with the latest addition being a card game called Dominion that I am, despite lacking any sort of real skill in it, rather taken with.

In the case of text based games, I'm a hopeless visual novel addict.

I'm an FPS lover. Yeah, no one's said anything about that yet, so I may as well be the first. Sure, I like Battlefield and Half Life, and all those, but so far, my main focus is S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which is, like Fallout 3 and New Vegas, a hybrid FPSRPG.

Strategy games were always my go-to. I love the Civilization series, Alpha Centauri, Starcraft, Age of Empires, all of that. I don't always do well in shooters, but give me a map and an army and I can usually punish someone pretty bad. :D

Alternatively RPGs are awesome. And especially MMOs. Is anyone else here looking forward to the upcoming release of The Old Republic? It's gonna be The Best Thing Ever! :D

Can't say I have.

Unfortunately I tend to be allergic to Kojima.

And am I the only person on the planet that thought that Half-Life 2 is overrated to all hell and back?

RPG. There's just something about the gameplay that really appeals to me. If there's a good storyline to go with it, that just makes it a million times better. My favorite RPG of all time is Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. I admit it sounds pretty nerdy, but the game is really amazing, and the graphics are stunning, and the storyline is in-depth and unique.
