Any tips for writing a good (or funny) horse story?

I sometimes love to write stories about horses and ponies ending up in funny/weird scenarios, or just ordinary experiences in their silly perspectives.

Can you share to me some tips to write a good/funny story with a horse or pony as its protagonist, and in its perspective?

well not really I like capturing my readers by eating there emotions and getting there attention I use some comedy in my fan fics but not often just make something so stupidly random but possible in one of my fan fic for example the main character and three of his friends were fighting off the Cloudsdale army (no not the wonder bolts) and I made it so the main characters pet chicken randomly appears to cause a laugh but other then that I'm bad at writing funny stories maybe somepony else can help you with that

As you seem to be seeking help and advice on an artistic project, your thread has been moved to the Creative Resources section, as this section would be the most beneficial in gaining insight and tips on improve your writing.

I cannot say that I am any sort of writer, but to me, a good and compelling story starts with a good and well-rounded character, as this provides a decent step in investment and interest from the reader's perspective.  Another necessity is figuring out what sort of story you wish to tell and brainstorm ideas on how that can be accomplished.  Start with a basic premise and work outward from there, adding. more details and depth into your narrative.

As I said, I'm no writing, so I'm sure there are many more proficent artists in that field that can provide you with more substantial advice.

Best of luck and take care!

But the horse/pony is in a Human farm or home, where it faces many normal or weird scenarios (depends on the capricious Humans owning the horse/pony or being nearby/visiting) every day.

From fireworks to horse races to even little girls who subject it to tea parties, the range of scenarios can vary.

So, anypony here who can help me in tips for writing a good horse/pony-related story?

I feel these apply regardless of whether your writing a movie or a book--or a fanfic: http://imgur.com/a/fPLnM

Seriously.

Anyways, some other bits of advice...

Stories tend to be told through characters. World building is great, but it's often done through the viewpoint of someone experiencing the world. Regardless, characters will likely be why your readers read your story, and why they stay interested in it. So, strong, likable characters may make your story.

There's also other bits I've heard, which you may or may not agree with:

1.) Your story, at its heart, should be able to be condensed to a single sentence.

2.) You should be able to answer "why should the reader care about this?" with a lot of your story and plot, or answer why it should be interesting to them.

3.) Every piece and scene should have a purpose or impact that improves the story, rather than distracts or takes away from it.

@@HorsesandMOARGaloar,

Being rode, confined in a pen or restrained in some form, grazing/being fed horse food stuff, being pet/brushed/washed, possibly (but unlikely) being bred... Can't think of many others offhand.
