headcanons spiral out of control thread

Post headcanon that gets ever more intricate until even you don't believe it.  Especially post it if in the end it explains things.

 

Here's my case.

 

Draquines (sp?) is an odd term, why not throw other species in there?

Answer: it's the child of a pony and dragon!

 

Then Discord has a pony parent, but most ponies don't have that much power to look like they could be his parent.

Answer: But an alicorn does!

 

Wait, am I saying that Luna or Celesia is Discord's mom?!?

 

If that were so, then they banished a son/nephew to stone.

 

Man that'd stink if I had to put my son in stone.  I'd be really mad, maybe even throw a king size hissy fit. 

Oh, my that explains NM!

 

(so in the end the canon is that Luna is Discord's mom because she felt unloved by the ponies at night and some dragon gave her attention, so she had a fling, got pregnant and had discord.  Maybe she took some frustration out on discord [or maybe he's 3 ala Secret of my Excess].  The princesses had to turn Discord to stone and viola she's upset at her sister enough to become NM.  The princess later agree never to speak of this again.)
