I'm writing a story about someone who's on the severe end of the autistic spectrum. She's a sixteen year old girl who is obsessed with NASA and astronomy. I want to create a special space program she goes into where they experience things similar to those of a regular astronaut. However, I don't think they could handle actually going up in space. I was thinking more along the lines of a simulation type of thing.

 

That's what I need help with. I need help trying to figure out different things they could do that are related to space and being an astronaut or something. I'm having trouble coming up with ideas because my mind of drawing blanks. D: I've tried my best to research this, but I can't find anything on it at all. That's why I'm resorting to asking all of you writers out there.
