Spongebob was great back during seasons 1-3 and some of 4. Nowadays I see new episodes and I think to myself "what happened to this show". There are new good spongebob episodes sometimes. If you want to know what new episodes of spongebob are good and which ones to stay away from watch Pieguyrulz and Mr. Enter's videos.

Seasons 1-3 are GOOD.

 

It's like MLP... with no depth.

every time I see spongebob on it's a really old episode.

I'm still halfway convinced that its been canceled.

maybe I've just been unlucky, I really want to see a recent episode.

 

it seems like a show that might keep running then die and come back with a different version.

I was always comparing spongebob to Scooby doo as a child, so it makes sense that I would envision such a future for it.

Well, the show is still focusing on the same people, and the sense of humor is the same, so that's all I care about. Spongebob is the only show that no matter what episode, as long as I laughed it's fine.

Without a doubt it appeals to a certain audience and it wouldn't be as big as it is now if nobody liked it, or continued to like it.

Personally, it's a good show to watch with kids, but I'd never go out of my way to watch it myself.
