Why do I suddenly have an interest in Mortal Kombat lately?

To those of you who don't know what Mortal Kombat is, Mortal Kombat is a franchise that has lasted since 1992. The series was a fighting game like Street Fighter, except the focus was mostly on the blood, gore, and especially the Fatalities. 

 

Suddenly, with no warning, I have taken a bit of a reinterest in Mortal Kombat.  Especially with the 10 Mortal Kombat game coming out next year(My computer should be all set for the 10th Mortal Kombat game).  And yes, there are Mortal Kombat models for GMod and SFM.

 

Who else, like me, have taken a reinterest in Mortal Kombat?  Speak up, and while you're at it, here's the best Mortal Kombat commercial, because this will make any Pony feel like a Kombatant.

Waiting on MK X here myself. MK9 was awesome. Started with MK1 on the SNES, then MK2 and... skipped a bunch, might've played MK4 at some point but didn't really start up again until a friend suggested I try the ninth. Great story mode.

I would go with MK9, ether on 360, PS3 or PC.

 

Edit: If you get the PS3 version, you also have the option of playing as God of War's Kratos.  Which makes me wonder who the guest character will be for MK X.

I got MK9 Komplete on PC recently - I must say, it's spectacularly gory and a very good fighting game to boot~!

I've been skreaming "MORTAL KOMBAT!" since the 90s. They've got some of the koolest and most ikonik kharakters. I have always been a fan of over the top gore ( probably thanks to Mortal kombat )

 

 

Mk 9 pretty much blew me away. I kan't wait for the new one to kome out. (glad it's gonna also be on the 360)
