Pony Opinion - Rainbow Dash or Applejack?

Both are so awesome but in my opinion Applejack is about 20% cooler than RD   I can really relate to AJ's personality not to mention I'm from the south and she acts and talks like a lot of southern people do.

Rainbow Dash mainly because she actually develops as a character and has an actual character arch.

I can actually tell the difference between S1E1 Dash to S4 Dash.

But for Applejack you can't really tell the difference.

Rainbow Dash.

 

There's a lot to admire and appreciate about Dashie, and I even appreciate her flaws.  "Perfection" (in quotes 'cause the real thing doesn't exist) is boring, subjective, and a restrictive ceiling that an individual can't develop beyond.  Rainbow has no ceiling.  She's always growing, learning, and trying.  Struggle / internal conflict is neither a sign of weakness nor a character flaw; it's real and identifiable.  And Dashie ultimately makes the right decisions.  And I've found her to be irresistibly magnetic and interesting from the start.  Just because she's doesn't mince words doesn't mean she lacks a capacity for kindness.  Just because she has pride in her abilities doesn't mean she won't celebrate the accomplishments of a friend.  Just because she's awesome doesn't mean she doesn't see the awesome in others.  There's far more to Rainbow than meets the eye, and even what meets the eye was more than enough to capture my attention.  And, no matter how far I fall, I know Rainbow will catch me. x3  She's good at that.

I'd have to go for Dashie over Applejack. Don't get me wrong I still love Applejack and I believe her to be the most important member of the Mane 6. It's just that Rainbow has shown some real development over the series that really makes me love her. She went from an egotistical braggart to a loveable, kind, still arrogant character as of season 4. I always loved Dash but she never really made it to number 1 until Wonderbolt Academy and she showed true loyalty to her friends and moral compass that really made me love her. Characters that stick to their ideals and friends even in the face of their dreams is always a number one in my book. I understand that Applejack can be seen as this too but it's more prominent in Rainbow because she was willing to give up on her life's goal for those ideals. Plus in Hurricane Fluttershy she also showed understanding and compassion for Fluttershy and actually tried to help her. It really shows her development in her character and makes her look more then just an arrogant jock stereotype. 

 

Plus hot heads tend to be my favorites in T.V shows.

AJ all the way! I like their singing voice equally i just like the songs AJ has been in more .  I really like evryone in the Apple family (I strongly belive in Pinkie being an Apple btw) and i Think AJ is os adorable, Jappleack to for some reason

I really like both. Applejack is my favorite character while Rainbow comes in at second place.

 

Comparing these two is like comparing a sports car with a 4x4 truck. Who you like more kinda just comes down to your own personality and preference. Do you like fast and fun but not terribly practical or slow and dependable but not too flashy?
