and this is what caused me to hate female extremists and when I say hate, I actually mean HATE. I try to be as calm as possible, but theres only so much I can take. aparently, they aren't stopping at Target and Kmart, they're trying to move onto Big W and Dick Smith. but I'd really love to see them try and ban it from EB games or other game shops that are run by people who actually PLAY the game to tell them that their petition is a semi-truck load of horseshit!

 

tell you whats funny though, the Target Australia facebook page is loaded with comments by outraged gamers and some of their comments are funny

I can understand how they believe it's sexist with the prostitutes and killing them. I don't know if it really encourages violence or not, but the mentality with taking it off shelves is rather silly. Knowing Australia's history with these sorts of games it doesn't surprise me.

By the logic that this uses, a game that shows violence towards woman is horrible but committing the same violence towards males is perfectly fine 

 

This a good example to why I think feminism is a concept that has no real weight. It is completely wrong one way but perfectly acceptable the other way.This is not even bringing up the fact that it is a video game and not real in any way at all, not that those people wanting this stuff banned would would even get that at all.

As ridiculous as this decision is I am relieved that it is a decision by a private company to not sell something rather than yet another example of government censorship.

This confuses me over many reasons...

 

1. Why only Target? ALL if not most stores sell this game, so what makes Target the most responsible of them all?

 

2. Because of women abuse? Uh, they do realize you can kill, abuse, and do any wrong doing towards anyone in the game right? The series has been out since ages ago, you'd think they know by now...

The problem with that is that these people aren't feminists. They're sexists pretending to be feminists. They achieve nothing but giving women and actual feminists a bad name. This is the latest case of that happening.

As much as I know the internet loves to go on and on about how horrible feminism is and how it has sexist double standards etc... 

 

I disagree with this petition, alright. But at least try to have some compassion and see things from their perspective here.
