I have never heard of this teen titans go stuff. So I wouldn't know about it so I don't think its popular where I live.

I don't understand how you can compare it to Adventure Time, which is actually a good show if you've actually seen it.

 

I've only seen 1 episode of Teen Titans Go, and honestly it wasn't that bad. Unless it was one of the better ones. I was a huge fan of the original series years ago, so maybe it's just nostalgia setting in.

Well both have similar randomness and stupidity and idiotic humor. Only difference is one of them actually has a storyline and is at least a little better than the other one. I do admit that I think Adventure Time is better like I said.

 

But as a huge fan of the original Teen Titans I can't help but be irritated by Teen Titans Go. Because it is NOTHING like the original...Teen Titans Go is an INSULT to the original series...

Why are you putting the original Teen Titans on a pedestal like this? Sure it was a pretty good cartoon, but you're acting like it's sacrilegious to have a parody of the show.

 

If you don't like the humor of the show, I can understand that. But getting all this worked up over a parody taking place in another continuity is ridiculous.

I've seen a few of Mr. Enter's videos on Teen Titans Go. There was a scene where Starfire was making chili in the toilet. I mean...Starfire was ignorant. Not stupid. Ignorance and stupidity are two totally different things. She was just not familiar with the ways of Earth. But I'm sure that her people weren't stupid enough to make food in the same instrument where they shit. 

 

Teen Titans Go is just a slap in the face to anyone who loved the original Teen Titans. Or anyone with a functional brain cell for that matter. Haven't seen a single episode of it and I don't plan on it. It just looks horrible.

If years from now there was a "My Little Pony Go!" or a "My Little Pony Coast to Coast" or even a "My Little Pony Attorney at Law" I would not be upset, because I have the sense to understand what the point of the show is. Even if I didn't like the show, I'd just move on and find something else to watch or just watch reruns of the old show.

Well, that's one person's opinion. I was a huge fan of TT when I was a kid, though that doesn't stop me from enjoying TTG. Straight from the first episode you could tell that it knew what it was: a light-hearted parody. Holding it up to the same standards of the original Teen Titans would not only do it injustice, but it'd be an insult to the original too. You'd be comparing it to a show that's made to make you laugh. Most of CN's shows nowadays are like that, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Their success just proves that the current generation prefers this kind of stuff.

 

You may feel like your favorite characters have been butchered, but it's done on purpose. I'm pretty sure the characters from DBZ Abridged aren't exactly like the original DBZ, but nobody holds it up to the same standards because it's a parody. I suggest you do the same and enjoy it for what it is, or at least stop hating on it.

 

TTG really doesn't deserve the hate it gets; it's often older people like you or me who hate on it because they want their old show back. Don't be a sour nostalgic.

lol, I'm still amazed that having a character named 'Deathstroke' was deemed just too intense for the kiddies. And I imagine Donna Troy is somewhere alone and crying to herself because she wasn't invited.

Yes and no. The no mainly applies to nostalgic teen titans fans. The yes to kids who haven't seen the original and fans of the original who don't constantly have nostalgia goggles. I haven't seen much of the original so I don't fit into the nostalgia thing. My hatred comes from nuch it aggravates me.

If you want something even daring to resemble the original show, look literally anywhere else. I honestly never even gave the show a chance.  On look at the hideous animation in the promotions immediately turned me off, as it appear to be a massive downgrade relative to the original.  I suppose that if it got a lot of recommendations I would check it out, that is sort of how I got into MLP, but I am really not seeing much in the way of glowing recommendations for this show.

Maybe for a younger audience, but again I'm not sure. Personally I don't like the show. It's too all over the place for Teen Titans.
