Elegron couldnt help but listen to dash, but after a while he forced himself to work on the plan. He couldnt tell anyone where stable city was. not yet. He picked up his anti material rifle and fixed the scope to his liking and adjusted the stock for minimal recoil. It wasnt like he was digging around in dash's stuff, she HAD left her book on gun customization on the bed.

He made all the adjustments he could with the parts he had and was quite happy with his work. "so, were heading into dangerous territory. ill be bringing many stealthbucks with me, and my dagger of course",He thought, slipping a hellhound dagger into its sheath and attaching it to his hindleg. Normally it would be a challenge for ponies to draw from a hind leg, but he levitated it anyway when fighting. He waited patiently for dash to come out of the shower.

Dash comes out and looks for the book she left on the bed. "Have you seen my engineer's guide to weapon modification, Elegron? I was going to use it to modify my power armor's battlesaddle." Dash comes out and looks for the book she left on the bed. "Have you seen my engineer's guide to weapon modification, Elegron? I was going to use it to modify my power armor's battlesaddle." Dash continues to look for the book. She finds it by Elegron. She asks, "Was it useful?"

"Yea, check it out" He hands her his modified anti materiel rifle. The stock had been adjusted to his small frame so he wouldnt fly back a foot whenever he used it, and it had an extented magazine. The scope had also been adjusted for even more accuracy. "so what do you think? I think it turned out pretty well"

[Cipher Splash 5]

Cipher woke up on the cloud and slowly got up, she slowly turned her headset on and turned to the frequency she talked to X with "come get me, ambush by Bonewastes, on a cloud need help now" she finished before collapsing onto her safe cloud, she began rummaging though her bag finding half a flask of healing potion, draining it she felt better however no amount of healing potion would fix her wings. Leaving her stranded for the time being.

Dash gets her book and begins to work on her battlesaddle. It holds currently two energy recharger rifles. She looks to be adjusting a mod installed in the suit. When done the rifles follow Elegron almost perfectly.

 

"Done. I synced a motion tracker mod with the targeting system. Now the tracker is 25% more accurate."

Elegron dodged around, trying to avoid the intimidating stare of the rifles. "Would you mind not pointing hose at me? It makes me really nervous" Elegrons horn glowed as he cast his ward, partially because weapons were being pointed at him and partially because he had forgotten to do so earlier

"You want to go to the Stable for a Brain Bot. I want to go their to destory it. We can either go together, or I can go on my own. Either way, Stable blood will run today."

Tears streaming down his cheeks, Silvermind said,

"You're right. There's nothing I can do. The Wasteland's going to come and kill the ponies in that stable. They're all going to die..." Silvermind's expression began to harden.

"And nothing can be done about it."

Silvermind diverted his gaze from Blooddrop and looked out at the harsh, unforgiving hellhole that was the Wasteland.

"C'mon," he said. "Let's go."

Dash chuckles returning them to their ready position.

 

"I am hoping to get a few cannon class energy rifles to replace these recharger ones with."

 

Dash finishes quickly her maintenance of the armor and then steps into it.

 

"I am ready to leave when you are. But remeber the areas we are going to are very dangerous. Maybe a chat with Derpy first would be good. She may know more about dark horn. Or she could point us to somepony who would know."

Tears streaming down his cheeks, Silvermind said,

"You're right. There's nothing I can do. The Wasteland's going to come and kill the ponies in that stable. They're all going to die..." Silvermind's expression began to harden.

"And nothing can be done about it."

Silvermind diverted his gaze from Blooddrop and looked out at the harsh, unforgiving hellhole that was the Wasteland.

"C'mon," he said. "Let's go."

"This world is unforgiving. It will take everything you want away from, and dangle what you want just out of reach. And nothing can be done to stop it. It has a twisted humour, this world. Beat we can do is to just delay the inevitable. Ponies like me who can live to 30 like I have are very lucky. And you, you're just lucky in general. Let's get moving, we wasted too much time. A dust storm is moving in from the east. 10 minutes until it's on top of us." Blooddrop pulled some cloth over her muzzle and some goggles to protect her eyes. She then gave both Silvermind and Buckshot some goggles. "Let's move." She turned her Scorpion and moved West at a pace for the others to keep up.

"Sounds like a plan. But I'm hungry, let's get lunch first, then we can leave." Elegron slipped into his barding and put on his saddlebags, slinging his assault rifle over his shoulder and keeping his revolver close at hoof. He began to walk out the door, making sure that dash was following him.

Rave received a letter from the corrupt mayor of Trotter. As he read the letter, he began to smile. "So she is dead then? My sister is dead. Pity. I guess no one lives forever". Rave brought forth paper and a pencil and started to write. He went out of his tent and walked towards one of his messengers. It was a young pony, barely old enough to start working. He levitated the letter he had written to the pony. "Take this to Rattlesnake. I want this aired. We don't want ponies getting the wrong idea". The messenger saluted and then ran off into the Waste.

As the trio walked to the Stable, Silvermind lost himself in thought. Silently, he considered the situation. He wondered if there really was no hope. No, he thought. There must be something I can do. I can't let this happen... Not again. And then Silvermind realized he could do something. As much as he didn't want to play it, he had the ultimate bargaining chip... Wade's life.

"Blooddrop," he began. "I've made up my mind. If you kill the ponies of Stable 40... I will never return to the Vault-Tec bunker, and in five months Wade will turn feral."

"You dishonourable, disrespectful, spineless moron. Would you really abandon the one who saved your life when he really had no reason to? Would you really let him go Feral? Just like that? Is so, then Congratulations. You are now just as cruel as I am. I should shoot you dead right now for saying that, but I'm going to give you one chance to take it back."

 

Blooddrop pulled a .44 revolver out of her leg holster, held it by her side and cocked it, ready to fire when or if needed.

"No matter how this situation ends, the results are always the same. I guess your right. I cannot save everyone." Blooddrop quickly pulled up her revolver and put two bullets in his legs and one in his chest. Enough to incapacitate, and kill from slow blood loss. "But the coin has another side to it. I cannot save him, but we can take as many bastards down to hell with us as possible. Your fate is sealed. As is mine and Wade's. We are all going to die. Some just sooner than others. Good bye Silver. Enjoy bleeding to death. If the storm doesn't kill you first."

 

She got back on her Scorpion and continued on her path to Stable 40. Tears in her eyes after what she had just done, to someone she nearly called a friend.

Slowly, Silvermind fell to the ground. Though he was sure to die, he had no regrets. He had done all he could. And in this hell, who could blame him? No one wins if the world is dead. And it certainly was. Besides, he was never supposed to live anyway. He should have died with the rest of Stable 20. But it was okay now. His time had come. Just like the others, he lived a life of peace and died by the bullet regardless. But now he was finally leaving the endless torture of the wretched Wasteland.

 

And Silvermind...

Died.

The darkness of the afterlife is all that awaits you now. May you find more peace in that world than you did in this one...

"But surely you can make an exception for a poor pony such as I, without a single cap to spare... trying to make a living on my back..."

And Veronica Blackhoof had her free Sparkle-Cola, courtesy of Tenpony Towers.

"Why thank you. I'll see if there's some way I can reward you," she purred.

She stepped away from the bar and sat down at an unoccupied table. Smirking to herself, she thought, Whether it be Tenpony Towers or Junktown, all men are the same... stupid.

Rattlesnake's voice could be heard on the radio."Hello there folks. Rattlesnake here. Not really used to be talking during this time of day, but I got a request from Rave Crystal and no one can really deny him, hehe" he laughed a little bit nervously, his voice shaking a little bit. "Anyway. The so called "Rave's sister" thing is nothing but a whoowee. That's right, Blackrose was lying, she was not his sister. Rave has sent a letter that, uhm.... ehhh... proves it. That's right, proves that she was not his sister. In fact, she is now dead. She was killed by an unidentified assailant. The only thing that is known is that an  Anti-Machine rifle was used to kill the mare. Can't say that she will be missed. Nothing but a troublemaker. Since I was forc--- I mean asked to get these news on the air, I might as well throw in some extra news. It seems that the town of Primona has fallen to the ghouls. Rave's slavers and the Smiles griffins are setting up a line of defense outside the town of Stoneville. Let us pray that those defense lines hold". 

 

Rave listened intensely. "That idiot nearly said forced. Good thing that he changed it, for his own sake's".

Using her custom Pipbuck with earbud extension, Veronica was able to hear Rattlesnakes' broadcast. That slaver's really gaining some power, isn't he? she thought. Maybe I should go pay him a little visit... With the prospect of control over the entire region fresh in her mind, she left the Tenpony Tower bar and got ready to head towards the Ponyville area. The place had been razed, but she figured it would be a good start to finding just exactly where Rave was situated.

Cipher Splash woke up on her cloud to Rattlesnakes voice over her radio. She slowly got up feeling better from when she landed, most of her wounds had been healed by the potion however her wings were still damaged. Cipher slowly opened them for inspection, deciding they weren't flyable she used her pegasus magic on the cloud making it slowly sink downwards finally it disappeared as it reached the ground, she then glanced around, she saw a small town which had been freshly barricaded however as she approached she realised it must have been one of those towns  Rattlesnake was talking about.

 

"just my luck" she grumbled, she checked her bag but remembered she was out of ammo, "buck, no ammo, no wings, I got a bad feeling about this" she sighed,she opened her scanner and headed though the ruins of Primona following the hoof-prints of the 'ghoul' army, if she was lucky she could get to the Stoneville defences before the ghouls.

 

Cipher was at the end of the town when the scanner picked up a small life-sign, she realised the life-sign was moving closer until she saw the ghoul.

I waited for a response from inside the tower but I didn't get anything back, not even as much as a "Go away". I banged on the gate again, harder this time. Still, no response. I banged again, even more harder, and still no response. I was beginning to get mad so I reared up on my front hooves and kicked my back hooves into the metal gate as hard as I could, which made a loud banging sound. "Open up the damn gate!" I called out to whoever was inside.

I banged again, even more harder, and still no response. I called out to whoever was inside.

Elegron heard a commotion. 2 guards had opened the door and approaced the zebra "Begone raider, we dont have time for zebras" one of them reached for a pistol. Elegron jumped up and stopped the second guard before he made things worse "Woah woah woah calm down, chill." Elegron realised just how stupid he sounded and regained his composure."dont worry, hes with me." The guard looked at the zebra questioningly "im sorry sir" he nodded to night star "carry on" Elegron motioned for night star to follow him as he sat down at a nearby table.

As Veronica was about to leave, she overheard two ponies talking, a male unicorn and a female pegasus. Inconspicuously listening to their conversation, she realized that she had an excellent opportunity to get some bodyguards for her trip to Ponyville, and if she was lucky they might even be able to take her straight to Rave. She approached them casually.

"So, I heard you two are looking for Dark Mane? I can take you to him," she lied, "as long as you take me where I want to go in exchange."

Dash does follow him. Her helmet removed and in her wing. She follows him to the eating area. When she gets to the bar she orders a cider, a sparkle cola, a special and a cupcake. She them pays the caps for it and sits at a table that gives her view of all exits. She did this so nopony can sneak up on her while her back was turned. She says, "We need an info broker to find him. That is if red eye isn't found."

The words army of slavers caught my attention quickly. "Did you say army of slavers?" I asked the pony. "I think I can help you out with that. You see I'm looking for a slaver named Rave that has slaughtered many of my fellow zebras, including my tribe, in cold blood. I'll be happy to assit you in taking care of this problem."
