Work Pet Peeves!

So we all have worked at some point in our lives!   And I'm sure most of use have come Cossack those things that make you life all the more  hard to do! That boss who makes you do the worse things,  a kid throwing up, a co-worker who leaves you do all the things!  A customer who you wish you could just punch for being a ass!   

 

We all have those  peeves,  those things you hate or happen that just ruin your the whole day!  So lets share them!  Post away the things you hate that happen at work!

The worst thing I find about my job is having to wake up and go to it. :3

 

 

But seriously. Retail. This is 2014. Retail should be confined to robots and vending machines.

So many things so little time.

 

Suck ups: I know that you sometimes need to kiss a bit more ass than you would like in order to keep a job to pay the bills but there are some people that go out of their way to brown nose and I can't stand those kind of people.

 

Petty tyrants: I am not just talking about managers either, there is this guy I work with who thinks and acts like he is the boss when if anything I have authority over him. I am 3rd dairy clerk (was 2nd by my bad knee got in the way) and he is mostly a checker who does some stocking yet I screw up once and that little shitstain thinks he has the right to order ME around. 

 

Stupid parents: there are some parents who just don't watch their kids and let them run wild in the store which is not only annoying but incredibly dangerous. I bring product in and out all day and the last thing I need is some kid running out of nowhere. This happens even in the parking lot, the parking lot where I work is the scariest parking lot I have ever been in.

 

Rude customers: I normally don't care what other people have to say to me but when what they can mean the difference between me being in good standing with management and getting in trouble for nothing other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time than yes I do have a problem with that.

Hm... One of the biggest is individuals that get away with everything that they want. Like getting vacation during times when no one else is allowed. Oh, and not just one... But a group of several. All of them get vacation at once, when I would be denied vacation a normal time if just one other person had asked for it off before me. But they all get it off at once, during times when no one is normally allowed vacation.

I love my job but the one thing that really grinds my gears is when people don't pull their weight and leave me to do everything.

I work at a shoe shop and I fit and measure kid's feet, it actually isn't all that bad believe it or not. It's a simple job, I get to talk to a lot of people, the environment lets kids run around anyway so they aren't much of a bother and the pay is damn good.

 

The only thing that not only annoys me, but scares me, are the parents. Because I know that if I say something even slightly wrong, they're going to twist my words and make it seem like I just insulted their child.

 

It's only happened once before(completely on accident) and I didn't get in much trouble for it, thankfully, but nothing could match the embarrassment I felt that day.
