Need Help With Name/Cutie Mark For New OC

Hi!

 

I have recently created (well, not recently; I actually created it in a pony creator a long time ago, but never did anything with it until now) a new OC, and I need some help deciding its name. Now, all I have is some art I got from other members of this site; I do not have anything regarding personality or backstory. The cutie mark was made specifically made vague because of this.

 

Now, because of that, the only things I have to work with for the name is the design and the cutie mark. Maybe her special talent revolves fortune cookies, modern design, or chipped gramophone records; I do not know. But I still would like some help with finding a name and a special talent, so if you have any ideas or suggestions; post them here. It would be much appreciated.

Her cutie mark looks like a broken record so she could maybe be good at fixing things or is a DJ (but the latter has been overdone into oblivion :s) It also sort of looks like a loading picture so maybe she could be good at coming up with ideas or solving problems?

 

Name wise, she looks like a Sunny May, or:

 

• Daffodil Daisy/Daffodil May
• Sunny Day/Sunny Dreams
• Flower Petal
• Sun Flower
• Summer Blaze/Summer Heat
• Daybreeze
• Heat Flash

Maybe she is a ethnomusicologist

 

She basically tries to collect old local songs, catalog them, preserve them and study what impact they have on the ponies that made them and what led to their creation.

 

Kind of the equine equivalent of a musical anthropologist.

 

The record is there, but it is incomplete and she wants to save these critical parts of culture before they disappear.

Hmm, the fixing things sounds like a pretty cool idea, but I'm still not quite sure (I won't do a DJ though as fan-Equestria has enough DJs to last the next few centuries). Thanks though; it has given be a few new ideas to think about!

 

Sunny May is a cute name, but I'm not sure if the Sunny part fits her color scheme too well, as she is brown and suns are yellow. :3 But, I do like the May part; it's really cute.

The name is a cool idea that fits her color scheme, and the jam can be used as a pun for the music, but I'm not too sure if I want to use it. It fits very well, but I'm not too sure.

The ethomusicologist thing is a really cool idea though that fits with what Wheatley said too... (thanks for showing me a new -ologist/ology too; never heard of ethnomusicology before this and it seems like something I'd be interested in). I'm considering this at the moment, but I'm still open to ideas.

Ok so when i look at your OC straight away i think of her as a librarian or an interior designer or she could be a pony that collects antique items and somehow make them fashionable. 

 

As for names i am not to sure but i hope i helped
