I agree with the fan made toys being better. I don't plan on getting anymore, though, because I'm not a collector or anything. I have Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Cheerilee. I would think though techincally the companies like funko and the other well known ones are techincally are official merch too most likely if they're paying royalites and such or were contracte by Hasbro to make their products. Of my 15 Fluttershy figurines about two thirds of them are Hasbro brushables or other Hasbro vinyl/PVC figures. The rest are either Funko, McDonalds or another 3rd party distributor/manufacturer. I also have a plethora of plushies, but none of them are "Hasbro" Also, if Hasbro didn't give the license to other companies, we probably wouldn't have all the other nice merch we have available. I felt kind of dirty having it in my possession, so I gave it to my mom to give to her neighbor's granddaughter. I think it was the blind bag Celestia. Kind of wish I still had it, but still I wasn't quite into MLP then. I cannot comment on the past generations, but I think the G4 toys are awful.
