Planning on seeing a band or artist in the near future? Or have you already seen somepony recently and wish to share the experience? Post the here!

In the next few days i'll be attending the "An evening with Machine Head" show. No openers, just two and a half hours of the greatest metal band to step out of the bay area since Slayer. Not only that, but I get to attend a VIP meet & greet! I have the honor of meeting Robb Flynn, Dave Mcclain, Phil Demmel & Jared Mceacharn, the architects of some modern metal masterpieces and the recent high charting Bloodstone & Diamonds album. Tis gonna be epic.

Also this coming april, I'll be traveling w/ my parents to see Finnish symphonic metallers, Nightwish, w/ the masters of military history turned metal, Sabaton & rising power metallers Delaine, one of my dads current favorites. This will be my first time seeing the same band (Sabaton) three times in one year and the first concert I'll be attending w/ both my parents.

Your turn!

I've been to two concerts, both in 2011 - Streetlight Manifesto and Chicago.

Should those be the only two bands I get to ever see in concert, I can die happy with that! Don't know that I should see any more concerts anyway, they're too loud for me. lol

I've only been to one concert. I went a Keane (British rock/alternative band) in Jan '13. The lead singer has a voice type similar to Freddie Mercury from Queen (He's even performed with the surviving members of Queen.) They're my favorite band and the concert was like 15 minutes from my house.

It turned out being WAY better than I was expecting since they aren't the craziest band around. They put on an awesome show though. I stuck around after (The weather was HORRIBLE with freezing rain and a few inches of snow) and they still came out to hang out with fans for a little bit. The drummer Richard Hughes signed the tour poster I bought. I am so glad I went because they went on hiatus the next year. :( .

Recently Citizen Cope (rock/alternative/reggae) was in town and I should have went to that. I don't like as much of of his work as Keane, but it was probably a pretty good concert. Oh well.

Rainbow Rocks... at least how it could've looked... in a stranger, more interesting dimension

I've seen far too many bands and artists to list. This year I'm going to see Olly Murs (April) and Lucy Spraggan (May) and I'm hoping to fit a few more in as well.

The best concerts I've seen recently are Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour and Janet Devlin's My Delirium tour.

Katy's was just visual brilliance - there was so much going on all the time and she sounded fantastic live.  Janet Devlin is just a complete darling who spoils her fans rotten. I got to go to a VIP meet and greet before the show where I got to hang out with Janet before the gig, listen to her perform some songs that weren't on the main setlist and got loads of free merch.

I saw Five Finger Death Punch, Korn, Slipknot, and Hellyeah all at the same place.

I want to see Tool, Streetlight Manifesto, Rancid, Mushroomhead, Limp BizKit, and Marilyn Manson live.

Hey you got to meet Phil too? I got to meet him in person last Thursday before MH's set. Really cool dude. Handed me a pick after they finished their set. He was really happy when I mentioned his old band Technocracy to him.

He gave me a pick as well! :D
