Why does Western society hate feminine males?

Toxic masculinity is part of it. Men used too and still are taught to be manly and not show their emotions, when thats actually very harmful towards their development.
In recent years this has gotten better and not every household is like that but it is still a thing especially in places that are more conservative.
As someone previously stated, generally the people who hate feminine men also are sexist against women.

Not only that, I believe part of the shipping issue is from a female standpoint is attraction. Straight women tend to be attracted to spectrum of masculity, leaning to less feminine men. I assume thats the primary audience of Hetalia. Obviously everyone is a individual and I am not implying there is anything wrong with being attracted too or being a feminine male, but as a woman thats just my perspective on the shipping/fandom part of your post OP. I should also state that no man or rather healthy one is 100% masculine or what we perceive as such.
PS: I am not implying that if you are feminine women won’t like you, I hope this part of my post doesn’t come off that way.

I would say it also could be homophobic, as thinking a feminine character needs to be with manly one seems to push the straight ‘dynamic’ more than the characters actually having chemistry. I think generally hating feminine men also could stem from homophobia as well, because unfortunately that is a stereotype that is very common.

In the end I think its a large amount of issues wrapped into one and I think the Brony fandom is honestly helping to tackle this issue, because many bronies are being proud to like a show thats considered feminine.
Regardless, always be yourself and don’t listen to the haters ;)

While girls are allowed to be either a "tomboy" or "girly girl" or whatever the hell they want to be, boys are taught at a young age "Don't do that, that's for girls!".

My guess would be the following.

A more masculine, so to speak, female would be better capable to defend her children and have more flexibility in terms of not needing to rely as much on the husband. What role would an effeminate male have? Being less capable of defending their wife and children and having access to fewer resources to raise the family would not be seen as desired traits. I would expect the society that has established gender norms to outperform societies that deviate from it; more effective versus less effective division of labour I suppose. In other words, I question the claim that gender roles have arisen arbitrarily as I view them as having survived the process of evolution. Otherwise I would expect man to have evolved into an androgynous specie, and the emergence of gender roles to have been much more rare throughout the world.

Western society is probably the most ironic civilization there is in the Known Universe And Possibly Other Unknown Galaxies We Haven't Discovered Yet, where people are proud to say "Be Yourself!" and then say "Oh, don't be like that" or something like that.

If we were to take a subset of a population considered anti-social and they demand "justice" or something of the sort, how can we tell that it is the rest of the population who have a mistaken view of this subset or if the subset recognize that they have degenerate characteristics (degenerate as in being detrimental to social cohesion in some way) yet demand acceptance or respect without having to change their own characteristics for the better? Perhaps it could be answered this way. Suppose we have a subset of the population considered degenerates by the rest of the population and are ostracized. This demographic migrate to some place far enough away that they are isolated from the old society and they establish a new society with new norms. If this new society achieves greater stability, productivity, etc. than the old society, then they will have proven themselves to be superior and accusations of degeneracy incorrect. If, however, the new society is more unstable, unproductive, etc. than the old society, then they will have proven that accusations of degeneracy to be justified.

My impression is that there is a certain god several users here worship. And by god I mean that which they hold as the greatest moral value. They believe in unconstrained self-expression and every act that allows this to be the case to be morally righteous. With this belief, any restriction on behaviour is assumed to be arbitrary oppression. It may be that unconstrained self-expression is desired no matter the costs, or perhaps there is an underlying assumption that all forms of behaviour are all equally valid, ie that there is no such thing as degeneracy, and so the act of attempting to restrict other people's behaviour to have no rational basis at all except perhaps for the desire to control.

Well sometimes the male acting feminate can sometimes be irritating.

But not to the point of hating all of them. Only the irritating ones.

Ok, then what separates an infuriating effeminate man from a non-infuriating effeminate man? Provide examples.

If I got to make a wild  guess, one who doesn’t make an exaggerated and phony interpretation of female gender roles, like this one :mlp_icwudt:

And I’m not going into much detail, already been there :scoots:

Very picky and easily discusted.....

Because to me not easily discusted by discusting stuff " is" not feminate....ish? Well lets just say the majority of women female feminates do not like disgusting stuff.

And in my line of work mechanics have handle plumbing and gross stuff. Like panties clogging on airplane flush tubes causing shit and pee and stuff to get clogged aswell. And if you get grossed out, and delaying the work.... Well man up! Because the woman mechanics are doing it too and you signed up for this job....

This kinda situationand the picky part well

Being picky is considered female and feminate because for example...

Clothes

Men don't really care what they wear... Unless they want to impress a woman.

Woman care what they wear.

And again majority.

Perhaps it has something to do with the religious patriarchy instituting behavioural stereotypes in the populous during millennia. As well as your complex regarding the nature of sexuality.
My feminine and masculine are well balanced in my individuality. This creates a third personality that is neither of two, but a conjunction which is more than the sum of its parts. A trinity, if you will.

I'm a very feminine male, and I have no problem showing this. It just comes down to stereotyping. Western society has this notion of every guy being a 'cowboy' type guy, when that simply can't be the case.

You haven't heard the horrors of gender fluid roles being forced on children? From the topic of being posted five years ago I am not surprised. :oSometimes I am happy thinking that boys are allowed to be boys and girls are allowed to be girls.

I guess im the minority then lmao clothes is just stuff to cover u tho who even cares lol. But even in school there were plenty of girls who dressed and didn't care, maybe some ppl tho dress up for the guys idk but even some of these ppl had bfs and still dressed that way. I feel like ppl try to hard to act and dress in certain ways. I feel that the whole idea if u are female/male u should act certain way is harmful we are individuals and to be judged that way, norms are just averages or culture etc.

It seems like these days tho guys like to do much more things with their hair all sorts of gel and stuff.

At very much younger age though boys seem to not be so judged for dressing in girly clothes or playing with so called girls toys. Tho its way more taboo than girls with boys toys. Especially if a boy has a older sister or such they may share toys and that. There is no harm even in playing with other toys doesn't mean gay or fem even, I know boys play with barbie dolls but not as how intended maybe they throw it around in the mud lmao

It's only when a bit older others start to judge more and such.
