So you all maybe wondering what the big deal is about Pro Wrestling NOAH and why NJPW is suddenly interested in hosting a joint show with them next year? 

Well, this is a pretty good reason why. The finals to their big autumn tournament, the N1 Victory. Defending winner Katsuhiko Nakajima vs. fellow faction member Kenoh.

@Pastel Heart In my opinion, the second half of MJF's argument in the promo with CM Punk was the best part.

This is such a heel turn lol (on NJPW anyway), company warfare was real in Japan for so long. He's friggin Keiji Muto though he can do whatever he wants

MJFs promo was fire and stands out more cos he got more mic time, but I personally think Punk won that promo. It was snap snap all over

Technically,

neither wrestler said anything groundbreaking and basically just repeated the same CM Punk/WWE shots people have been saying on

forums for years.

Breaking news out of Japan! Jan.8th maybe the big NOAH vs. New Japan showdown but on Jan.1st, the first wrestling show of 2022 will be hosted by Pro-Wrestling NOAH at the Budokan. And they are going to have a very special guest.

Well here's something a little heartwarming. 

Not sure if you heard about the tragedy last week that happened to the Waukesha Christmas parade, less than half an hour from where I live. But I'll spare you the details and say people are still shook and the community is still banded together, with charity events going on in quite a few neighboring cities. Well one of those was Blizzard Brawl, where proceeds from the event will help the families recovering from the tragedy. and one of the wrestlers going above and beyond happens to be Waukesha's newest resident, the Titan, Adam Sherr. AKA Braun Strowman.

what seems like forever.

Because there's no endgame. People are retaining precisely because there's no plan for them to lose.  The title change will happen the afternoon VKM writes it in the script.

TOnight, ROH will be hostign Final Battle. An apt PPV name if there was one. This will be the last show before they undergo a hiatus and rebrand in March, if they make it that far. The last company to say they were taking time off to relaunch everything had Jeff Jarrett fired at the start of the show. So support ROH in this trying time and help see them through till the end. Jonathan Gresham vs. Jay Lethal in the first and maybe only ROH vs. AEW match.

No update on if this will be for the title or not.

Just announced on the pre-show. And it is official, the match will be for the world title. And not just any title, but the original ROH world title belt.

 

I really wish ROH the best in this. They were the most responsible during this pandemic and got the shaft for it. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have the indy wrestling boom and mainstream wrestling revival we've got today. Look who the most popular stars are today. Hangman Page. Kenny Omega. Cody Rhodes. Adam Cole. The Young Bucks. Seth 'Tyler Black' Rollins. Bryan Danielson. Tomasso Ciampa. Kyle O'Reilly. Bobby Fish. Keith Lee. Roderick Strong. 'SwitchBlade' Jay White. KENTA. Damien 'Punishment Martinez' Priest. All of them are ROH alumni. They did so much for wrestling and they deserved so much better than their lot in the industry. 

Here's hoping they make it to their 20th.

Only if it's in a late 90s or mid 00s time warp logo. time warp. One of the things wrestling needs less of are generic, blocky text logos (looking at you Impact and AEW). I swear every company is trying to look like they're selling me power tools.

Yeah and look how well that worked for them. Wrestling logos need to be more like sports team logos, yknow, since they're actually trying to emulate a sport? NOAH's got the right idea, even if they look like an arena football team. ROH kinda has that, though I'd say they have more of a late 00s metalcore metal band logo. Which if you're trying to present yourself as an alternative isn't a bad thing. Just give me wild logos. They're more fun to wear on merchandise.

ROH's old logo looks like they made it in two seconds and ROH's current logo is cool but dated, IMO.

It is over a decade old. But if it ain't broke, don't fix it? You dont' get time honored logos like the NWA, New Japan or CMLL logos by reformatting every decade.
