Overexposure. They rely too heavily on stunts. We know this because Njpw and Roh don't need that madness to have big moments. It boils down to laziness, artificially making moments.

That's partly because that's how a majority of today's wrestlers got popular in the first place.

Oh yeah how could I forget Daniel Bryan and his exploding barbed wire cage match with Colt Cabana?

I meant guys like the Young Bucks and a bunch of the "epic-(ly long.)" main events in NXT.

But those aren't really artificial. Those stunts work because they aren't tied to a gimmick.  It's a reflection on the performer, not the stip.

I was basing my opinion on (I think it was an "All-In" ladder match.) between Lucha Bros and the Young Bucks and an NXT War Games match.

All out. Still, those were gimmick matches. Used sparingly. Those rivalries warranted a gimmick match as an escalation, not to prop it up for a buy rate.

I was supposed to be wearing this at tonight's AEW Dynamite.

You still could if AEW decide to go the virtual crowd route. I'm *really* surprised that the younger and hipper AEW didn't do that before WWE, TBH.

Since moving to my aunts house I've been watching the Impact Wrestling channel on Pluto TV on her Roku TV since she doesn't have cable and I need my wrestling fix. Lots of stuff I never seen before and haven't seen in years.

My favorite finds are Chyna/Angle vs. The Jarretts and Mickie James vs. Tera (Victoria) in a cage match. I always forget how ahead of its time the Knockouts division was in the late 00s/early 10s.

CZW app is on this TV too. No sub though. hey Sparky buy me a sub

Yeah! The All Elite Arena! :P

Because frankly, it's a very dumb idea. Wrestling in front of a bunch of LED screens and web cam portraits? Wrestling maybe faux fighting, but even an artificial audience too? That's a step too far, and something that shouldn't be faked, regardless of the circumstances.

Also sounds expensive and gimmicky as hell and AEW need to pinch their pennies as long as that live attendance revenue is being halted. If I had my way I would've kept them in QT's gym like they were back in April. Very bunker feel to the show. But I get that the move to Daily's was safer and logistically practical.

A what?

You are unfamiliar with the Internet Wrestling Community?

They who take everything you enjoy about wrestling and ruin it to the point where you become disinterested? Lucky bat pony. :worry:

I just looked it up and found the International Wrestling Cartel. :P

AEW has nothing to complain about since they have a few of the same problems WWE does. (Guys from rival companies in top spots etc.)

Just haven't noticed much bickering. Every other promotions fans are saying we should all come together. Don't see any bickering between the ROH, Impact, NWA or NJPW fans. The beef seems squarely between Jacksonville and Stanford. Compared to them, everyone else is basically an indy, and those fans know they don't have a leg to stand on.

I feel like it's because WWE fans have a feeling of superiority and AEW fans (Are probably ROH etc fans.) and they feel like they finally have the

"upper hand" on WWE like how Impact fans probably did in the early to mid '00s.

Yeah the ROH base has been humbled over the past year and a half. The smart marks with a superiority complex have now jumped onto the AEW wagon. And I dunno. It wasn't until the late 00s that impact got that groundswell of support. How they got their ill advised shot against Raw on 1-4-10.

I can't remember the last time I saw Impact Wrestling (during this new incarnation.) and didn't think "Are they sure that THIS is Impact?".

I'm not sure.

It was so dark and empty in the arena I couldn't tell if I was watching "legit" wrestling company or

something with a bunch of people pretending to be wrestlers.

...I've become Jim Cornettte!

No more Kenny Omega! No more BTE! No more Russo! No more Canadian destroyers! The only way to pop the crowd is a good ol' fashioned hot tag!
