I know I'm not but, I can't think of any other credible tag teams that could take their titles. 

I could accept if they lose by cheating and then won the belts back the next night, at least the record would stay intact.

They are a complete joke, they ain't in Demolition's league.

I like Kofi at first then he became stale, Xavier Woods was OK in TNA but he got stale too.

I heard something about favorite tag team here.

 

For me it's a tie, between the road warriors/Legion of Doom and the Dudley Boyz, which where both the best of their era.

 

Road Warriors won the WWE, NWA and AWA Tag titles, which no one ever managed to do. And the dudleys, won the WWE, WCW, ECW, TNA and IWGP Tag Team titles, which also no one ever managed to do.

Have you ever wondered why the WWE doesn't use certain arenas like the Palace of Auburn Hills or the United Center. They did for Summerslams 1993 and 1994 respectively, but nothing else since then. I wonder why.

And I think you might be looking at the past through rose colored glasses. Every team since Demolition has improved upon the tag team formula. Kofi is insanely athletic and was worthy of the main event before politics got in the way. Xavier is one of the more inventive and charismatic people on the roster, and Big E. Langston is one of the most agile and best talkers of WWE's big men. 

 

Outside of lacking the stereotypical evil macho badass gimmick that purveyed wrestling back then, the New Day have outshines Demolition in terms of charisma, athleticism, originality and even renewing interest in WWE's tag ranks. 

 

So from an objective, analytical standpoint, what about Demolition makes them better than the New Day?

I still want New Day to win on principal though, because that win would have broader implications.

 

All of WWE's record setting reigns, have been by guys from the late 80's and early 90s. This is the chance for this generation to do soemthign that not event he attitude era could do, and that's break a record setting reign. And if not now, when? No one is gonna break Bruno's record. Definitely not Moolah's record either. And for some reason Honky Tonk Mans record has been allowed to stay (even though he really had no right to break Don Morocco's record in the first place).

 

The New Day are great performers and a great team. A different team but a great one regardless, and it would be vindication for this generation that they break the record, as well as a step further for getting wrestling in general to stop living in the past and demonizing the present. 

 

Though personally Gallows/Anderson should've ended the reign back at HIAC.

Well, how do you know if Demolition aren't in favor of this? What if they see it as not a spit in the face, but a passing of the torch? What would you do if they showed up on Raw and endorsed The New Day?

Heres what i want to happen in regards to Roman Reigns: Chris Jericho challenges him to a US title shot at Roadblock: End Of The Line (RAW's December PPV). Roman agrees, on one condition: whoever loses, goes to SmackDown Live. Chris agrees, and then at Roadblock, Roman loses, goes to SmackDown Live, turning heel and joining The Usos. I doubt they will do this, though.
