I honestly don't keep up with Daniel Tosh, but from what I gather, he recently made fun of bronies/cloppers on his show, and this pic was found either before/after (more likely after) in a more low key expression. Likely, he could have meant it as a "no hard feelings" picture.

 

Comedians often do have to risk upsetting people, and they know it, so if I read the situation right, I kinda gained a little respect for the dude from this.  :) I'm not against people poking fun at us, especially if they don't mean it maliciously.

 

Of course, I could be wrong and the sign could be sarcastic/insincere, but I'm thinking the better path is more likely.

 

 

Also, if anyone knows the real story, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!  :catface:

Really surprising of him to do, especially considering the last time he talked about bronies, he was mocking them while showing R34

@@Love and , I honestly think, as a comedian, calling something out or making fun of something is kind of his job, and shouldn't be taken to heart though?

 

Personally, even without the picture on this forum, I would've laughed with him supposedly mocking us. It's kinda just what comedians do in my eyes.  :) Heck, I'd love for people to point out more to laugh about the brony community, or other things I'm a part of. I'm a big believer in not taking yourself too seriously, and sometimes the things we do (not just bronies but almost any group/fandom) 'does' get to be pretty weird.  :grin2:

@@SFyr, Bronies get a lot of crap. It bothers some people. Some it doesn't. I'm not hugely familiar with Tosh, in fact I had to look at your post to find out his first name. However, the fact that he was willing to kind of retract his previous comment could go a long way to acceptance from a lot of haters. If it changes even one mind about how all bronies are perverts, then I'm all for it.

Meh, anything a celebrity does when it comes to bronies is usually just a publicity stunt. Besides, he spelled 'bronies' wrong so... yeah, I'm taking this with a grain of salt. Not a fan of the guy either way anyway, and not just 'cuz of that(just don't find him that funny is all). :P

My bro and I actually watched that episode... with our parents... who know we're bronies... 

 

Hey, even I had to admit that he posted some pretty good fan art, even though it was clop. I bet the guys who drew that were celebrating. 

 

Used to watch Tosh quite a bit, but then I got bored of him. 

 

But y'know, let's try thinking the best of people here. It's kind of our job y'know. And I find it awesome Tosh never meant any hard feelings and that he thinks we're doing a good job.

 

Let's keep up the hard work fillies & gentlecolts!

What happened was Tosh, quickly before a commercial break, said about "men who liked My Little Pony," which was alright, but he said we are aroused by lesbian ponies, even showing a nudity picture. He was obviously just joking about the stereotype, and so posted this picture to clear any disbelief.

@@Love, I suppose it's true, and I can understand how a lot of people would take it to heart.  :) I'm glad this picture exists though. Hopefully it make amends with those who couldn't laugh it off--which I get is hard to do with something that could understandably strike a nerve, given what he said/showed.

 

Personally I watched him a bit, and well... pretty much every comedian has a gimmick. Tosh is very much into shock humor, and saying/doing horrible or uncomfortable things. I don't like him because it's not my type of humor, but I get a strong impression it's just his way of trying to get people to laugh.  :grin2: So I try to take it in good faith.

 

But yeah, again, I get why someone would take offense at it all.

And, In my opinion of what Tosh said: if you watch regular porn, meh. If you do... this... no salutes. Pardon the profanity, but I fucking hate the idea of thinking of ponies in such a way.

I'm going to be honest. I saw this Before, way back in 2012. I remembered that this was faked. I can't find proof at the moment, but I don't believe it's true in the slightest.
