Envy 6,144 February 7, 2019 Share February 7, 2019 You'd think that as an oboist (and a woodwind/brass musician of nearly 20 years) I'd be pretty good at this, but... I don't know. I don't feel like testing it in general. When I play, it's just something I do, but I don't want to do it independently. I will say as an oboist, the challenge is actually less holding my breath and more not being able to exhale. That was a big thing when I was learning to control the instrument.
