ooc Fallout Equestria: Endeavor

Defender of Tomorrow

Well a point was raised earlier, flying even below the clouds the temperatures are frigid which should affect a barely born baby, doesn't matter if he's pegasus or not if you ask me.

Well, if you take the science into consideration, that Pegasus wings are way too small to actually allow them to fly, then there has to be some sort of magic aspect to them since despite this they still do fly. Also, what about pegasu born in Cloudsdale? They have to be flown around, cloud to cloud, high up in the sky. There's no walkways in Cloudsdale, so how do you take a newborn baby home there? They wrap them in a blanket, probably. Zeus is wrapped tightly in a blanket and is up against Anna's chest, who'd be radiating heat if she was flying hard enough. I think it's pretty legit.

Also, sorry about not posting. Between vacation, work, triathlon training, I've had barely enough time for the beloved Internet lol

While I did take that into consideration(sorta), I was hinting more towards what the mega-spells did to the atmosphere, I mean I don't think we know for sure in the book, but I'd have to guess that it didn't just affect the ground. But I would rather not make a big deal over it since we don't know for sure..?

Well let's not make a big deal but it IS fun to speculate. I, for one, do think the megaspells left taint and radiation in the atmosphere. After all, Cloudsdale was actually the first place hit. In fact, that might be another reason why all of the Enclave troops are wearing power armor, sure Rarity made the prototypes during the War but assumedly they would also be self contained environments. It could very well be that, given the original Enclave were all in Bunkers to be safe from the radiation, the Pegasi skies are actually frequent with bouts of radiation and may have their citizenry live in similarly safe environments sealed with a kind of cloud magic.

Hell it almost might be worse for them up there. Chernobyl might be a nuclear wasteland but if you stay clear of it, you'll be fine. Up there in the stratosphere though? All that fallout isn't just sitting in one spot, it's being carried on the wind everywhere!

I'm back and I'm glad to see we're having some conversation but 'll set it straight. In the book the pegasi live above the cloud cover and never go down except for scouting runs and important missions that rarely happen. They never mentioned pegasi territory ever being poisoned or toxic so they are probably just high enough not to have any radiation, hence sealing the skies. Also power armor in general design is always fully sealed. However if they truly were preparing for nuclear fallout why wouldn't the pegasi suits helmet be fully sealed?

Agreed, and I have read the book, as I said it's just fun to speculate.

To give credence to your words, we do see three civilian Pegasi in New Appleloosa after (THE GREATEST THING EVER!) and their manner is almost jarringly anachronistic because they seemed to have dropped straight from canon Equestria.

That's what I like about stable and pegasi characters. Them adapting to the new dangerous world is just an enjoyable and interesting read.

Agreed but even Littlepip seemed to at least understand that the world was different than it was in the Pre-War days. The three pegasi almost seemed to have dropped from an entirely different fanfic set in modern Cloudsdale.

Maybe it was just in my head, but I even kind of pictured them differently than the New Appleloosa ponies. All of them kind of darker, earthier, tones to their coat colors, wearing armor and beat up cloths, and various knicks or scars from the Wasteland.

Then you have these three, bright coated and bushy tailed asking if anypony needs help.

Yeah I just wasn't sure what was happening with the silence or if people were gone irl for reasons

I've been getting more into writing fanfics, mainly MLP since it has such a deep pool of creativity to pull from.

I'm good with character and story concepts, so if you need help with a fanfic or something feel free to Private message me

But don't be hurt if I have to decline if I'm tapped out for a bit. Otherwise I'm fairly good at it just sometimes I have to let my mind subconsciously think of some ideas.

Ooh, is that Ezekiel? :yay:

I was referring to your rank ;)

Oh . . . .

I might have overreacted a bit. Yes, that's Ezekiel, but as he is in canon Equestria rather than the setting that actually birthed him ironically.

Well that IS one part of his design from the Fo:E version. I'm still debating whether the "canon" version of Ezekiel has them, is close shaven, or a different style.

The dreadlocks are meant to invoke a kind of "post apocalyptic barbarian warrior" image even if Ezekiel himself is the very image of civility, he's still living in the Wasteland.

(By the by, came up with the design, but the actual drawing was done by a friend, not me.)

You know, the Griffon's insistence on what horrible people we are is really starting to grind on me.  :okiedokielokie:

Boy don't trust none of us do he :okiedokielokie:

It's not even a matter of trust, it's that he's acting so morally self-righteous. Just because our posts are chomping at the bit doesn't mean we aren't willing and able.  How much time has passed in universe? Five minutes max?!
