TheJLeeTeam 914 April 12, 2015 Share April 12, 2015 So there's already a thread about favorite cartoons made after the 90's. And I was thinking, almost everyone talks about how great 90's cartoons are, how bad cartoons after that were, but hardly ever talk about cartoons from before the 90's. I'm surprised most of the classics from before the 90's don't get enough attention anymore. Cartoons have been around far longer than that and yet there's mostly only praise of 90's cartoons. Since I'm an animation enthusiast, I will watch cartoons from any era and not judge them based on the era they're from. Now I was born in 1997 so these were before my time but I still enjoy them Here are my favorite pre-90's cartoons in no particular order: Popeye the Sailor Mickey Mouse Looney Tunes Tom & Jerry Ducktales Flintstones Peanuts Scooby Doo New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (It's kind of like FiM in the late 80's, early 90's) Simpsons (It started it's first episode in 1989 but didn't really take off until the 90's) Wallace & Gromit School House Rock 4 My blog post on Starting Fresh with MLP:FiM: https://mlpforums.com/blog/2076/entry-16988-im-starting-fresh-with-mlp-fim/

I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

Wolf General Alpha 636 April 20, 2015 Share April 20, 2015 Hm...even though I was born in the late 90's, I have grown up to love all of these: - Tom and Jerry - Scooby Doo, Where Are You? - DuckTales (which ended in 1990, so I don't know if that still counts) - Godzilla (Animated Series by Hanna-Barbera Productions and Toho) - The Flinstones - The Jetsons - Spider-Man (1967 TV Series) - The Pink Panther Show - Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids - The Smurfs - Spider-Man (1981 TV Series) - The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show - He-Man and the Masters of the Universe - The Transformers (TV Series) - The Care Bears (TV Series) - ThunderCats - G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (1985 TV Series) - The Berenstain Bears (1985 TV Series) - Dragon Ball (Anime) - The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - Dragon Ball Z (Was made in 1989 and lasted until 1996, so I don't know if that counts) - The Super Mario Bros. Super Show - The Legend of Zelda (1989 TV Series) and - The Simpsons In my perspective that is a lot of shows, but there are just never enough that I will ever see and or love. Yes, I watched all of those when I was like 1 year old and later on...it would regularly be hard for me to remember seeing shows like those, but I never forgot.
