You're kidding.

This sounds like it's going to be another attempt to cash in on something successful. The FNaF storyline isn't deep enough to make a good plot for a movie, in my opinion. It's suited for a small game, which FNaF is.

I'm not too hopeful about this.

I don't know about this. I'll see what I think when the first trailer arrives, but right now, I'll save my thoughts.

I'm excited for a Five Nights movie, it'll be interesting to see how they do it and what sort of style they use being either CGI, live action, etc. I also hope Scott Cawthon is involved to some degree with the movie since he is the man behind the game series. I think it'll be cool to have a Five Nights movie, now a TV series, that's just too much.

I'm not one for judging a book by its cover, so I'll just wait until it comes out and see for myself!

You never know, it could turn out great!

Though, lets hope they put a lot of effort into making it, instead of relying on the themes for a desperate cash grab. :okiedokielokie:

I feel that this won't be good, because I believe what makes Five Nights at Freddy's interesting is the story hidden in the background. While this does work in the video game medium, I don't think it will translate well to film.

Of course,  it doesn't 'ruin' FNAF for me, as I can always just ignore the movie.

Alright I'll admit.

The gaming series wasn't half bad.

Sure it was a really simple game and there was ALLOT of hype around it.

But that doesn't mean it's a bad game.

It's still a good game...

...but WHAT THE FUCK HOLLYWOOD?

Do you REALLY have to turn EVERYTHING that's insanely popular into a movie?!

I mean this is a game with very little story line to build off of.

You might as well make a movie about Minecraft.

Anyways, I have some predictions just in case they have the balls to try and pull this off:

1. It's going to be a rushed and cheaply made flick.

2. Then Nostalgia Critic is going to review it.

Ridiculous. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse..

The games are trash in my opinion, I hate them. The story is stupid and the game is lame as hell. The fact that they want to make a movie out of it annoys me as the just do it to make easy money. Stupid thing I hate the whole franchise but I got to watch it just cause I always watch new horror films..

Oh well, I hope this will just be another film we forget about that it ever existed just like the Super Mario film. If kids think about these stupid animatronics instead of Robert Englund when someone say "Freddy horror film" I'm gonna get upset.

The only plus I can see is that they got a decent crew and that I finally will get a bunch of jumpscares in a horror film. No matter how bad they fuck up the film, it can't get any worse than the game.

Well, I'm excited. I love the FNAF series, and I would love to see how it could be adapted into a movie. Seeing as how the games themselves seem to be filler, giving us little to no answers about the plot, I expect that the movie will be the finishing move (that is, if Scott actually has a say in it).

And hey, just because it's based on a video game doesn't automatically make it bad. The Halo movies were beast. I have no reason to be cynical about FNAF.
