gaming Xenoblade thread

A long shot, but has anyone else here played Xenoblade? It was kinda overlooked at launch (well, REALLY overlooked at launch) But with Shulk being added into smash bros, and Xenoblade being remade on the New 3ds, I feel like more people here must have played it, so, anyone?

I personally wish i had it on the wii, but I had no idea it existed until Shulk was revealed in smash, and I decided to pick it up on the New 3ds, and i'm in love with it

...Im really feeling it

This was one of the most anticipated games on gaming forums. Because of its limited launch it became hard to find real quick and the people who did play it loved the shit out of it. I had to pay out the ass to get someone to pick it up and ship it to me from across the country. lol

I like it but I never finished it. I had some hardware issues that made me stop playing my Wii entirely. I need to rectify the situation so I can play it again. I'll probably end up restarting. I only got up to the hip when you meet up with Dunban.

Side note: It's being remade on the New 3DS. Not the original. Those with any of the previous models of 3DS will not be able to play Xenoblade 3D.

You're absolutely right, Will edit OP. And you totally should play it again! I haven't got up to the part you mentioned yet, but there has'nt been a game that's engrossed me in the story this much for a long time, im sure it's the same for others too.

The music and gameplay were where it was at for me. I wasn't overly fond of the combat system but I loved exploring the areas and doing sidequests.

Xenoblade's story isn't what kept me going though. I knew a few games that can keep me going for story in the last few years but Xenoblade wasn't one of them. There's too much of a gap between story elements for it to keep my attention.

Xenoblade is one of my favorite games, I have both versions... as many RPGs as I've played, Xenoblade has just about everything I've wished other RPGs would have and more. Only flaws in it I really see are the not-so-hard difficulty(though, doing everything in the game in a single playthrough, now that can be hard) and the visuals at times(though to me the sense of scale and art design along with the game world being what it is in general make up for it), but it somehow just fits all my personal tastes almost perfectly. :D

I've only actually finished the story once, but man, every time I pick up the game again I discover something new... truly, a very special game indeed. :please:

I need to get a New 3DS and a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles on the same system. I did enjoy the game a lot on the Wii but I just can't seem to play it because the Wii remote's batteries decide to randomly die. I have rechargable batteries with me, maybe that could help?

Rechargable batteries are fine. USE A GAMECUBE OR CLASSIC CONTROLLER.

Pretty sure the Gamecube controller doesn't work with Xenoblade but I could be wrong.

Man the New 3DS port is just so god damn impressive, I never would have imagined a handheld port of the game this generation before... that hardware is some black magic I tell ya

Nope, classic controller sure does though.
