cider float 2,538 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 With the way MLP is so popular on the internet why wouldn't a MLP MMO bring out the payrolls? Subscription or microtransanction either way could be a good business venture. I can already imagine people paying for the bat wings from the online store.
JonasDarkmane 19,788 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 Are you talking about Hasbro making a MMO MLP related? That would be awesome. There already is a MMO for MLP made by bronies (though pretty much still in development). 1 Signature by @Kyoshi Ask Me Matsunaga Hisahide's death https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKT5Khp3-0U
Justin_Case001 4,901 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 I would love a real MLP game, but I refuse to get involved in subscriptions or any similar flim flam. Never have, never will.
Daring_Do 552 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 After that Transformers MOBA they were making flopped, I joked that Hasbro should replace it with an MLP MOBA. "At least that would be a guaranteed success" said a non-brony friend of mine.
cider float 2,538 May 22, 2015 Author Share May 22, 2015 It would be rated E though and you can't say inappropriate things in it because kids could be playing too.
Banul 3,831 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 Theres a fan made one in the works: http://www.legendsofequestria.com/ An official one will never happen. Making an mmo is too expensive and risky for Hasbro to want to take a swing at it.
AmberDust 1,118 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 I would love to play that...where you start the game choosing a race and customizing a character... Need help with your OC? I'd love to assist you! lop333 6 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 I dont really think its a good idea. There was Mmo from fans but it was canceled but as we see Fallout Equestria rpg is still in development.I mean Mlp is family freindly show there cant do to much.
~SadisticFluttershy~ 779 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 (edited) It would be rated E though and you can't say inappropriate things in it because kids could be playing too. The older audience would be doing that anyway on the chat box or even voice chat. Hasbro would never make an MLP MMO. As much of a good idea it is and the amount of money it would bring them, I don't think they're capable of doing so. Edited May 22, 2015 by ~SadisticFluttershy~ 1 Thanks MiniKirby! It's soooooo awesome! "Enough Chitchat time is candy!".- Pinkie Pie. "Storm Chasing is a commitment. Unlikeable Pony 2,698 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 After that Transformers MOBA they were making flopped, I joked that Hasbro should replace it with an MLP MOBA. "At least that would be a guaranteed success" said a non-brony friend of mine. I actually think FIM would make for a better MOBA than Transformers actually; the magical nature of the characters gives them more unique abilities when ponies are compared than when you compare individual transformers to each other. Applejack would make a great pudge type character with her lasso and more physical/tanky nature. Just she wouldn't have pudges fart cloud. Twilight would probably be a great Caster carry type character, with her ultimate changing her into an alicorn. Rarity would actually be a bit harder since, while fans have LOTS of fanon of her having Gemkinesis and stuff, outside of power ponies she has little to no combat capabilities. TheJLeeTeam 914 May 23, 2015 Share May 23, 2015 It would have to be very kid friendly MMO similar to Club Penguin. My blog post on Starting Fresh with MLP:FiM: https://mlpforums.com/blog/2076/entry-16988-im-starting-fresh-with-mlp-fim/
Draxon 214 May 23, 2015 Share May 23, 2015 I think that it might be necessary to eliminate player chat altogether (or maybe limit it to certain preset dialogue options) in order to guarantee a clean environment for the children who would want to play the game. I doubt that any violence, or very minimal violence, would be a part of such a game, for the same reason. That said, I would still totally play a game lacking these qualities if it were set in the MLP universe and let players control their own OC. Thrackerzod is best pony. Empty Room 512 May 23, 2015 Share May 23, 2015 I'd love to see it happen. So far, all we've got is the fan game Legends of Equestria, which is still awesome in its own right. "Have you ever felt the need to see more than you can see?"
The Awesome One 1,315 May 23, 2015 Share May 23, 2015 The way I see it, Hasbro has two options. They make a Club Penguin style game which little girls can play online and socialize with other ponies on in a child-friendly environment. Some in-game purchases and some pony versions of classic arcade games. All taking place in an open world Equestria. Game would be 2D. Hasbro roll out some big dough instead of making an MMO online for little girls and try to make some money from the bronies too by making a 3D action game with it's own original storyline involving the Mane 6 and other side characters as playable characters in the game where you can explore Equestria and places outside it such as the Gryffon Kingdom. A main storyline with some mini-games as well.
chirox the pony 1,336 May 23, 2015 Share May 23, 2015 Sounds good in theory but if it was actually done it probably wouldn't turn out so good. Hasbro would likely make very simplistic, something like club penguin or bin weevils, plus you'd have a community filled with children, and let me you that is not pleasant. No matter how hard I try these ponies will simply never leave me.
Toast 55 May 23, 2015 Share May 23, 2015 I had actually posted a topic similar to this one almost a year ago. that would be awesome if Hasbro would take this idea into consideration though... You should try Legends of Equestria.

ponylaces 1,870 June 3, 2015 Share June 3, 2015 I'd play it. I played tons of MMOs when I was younger. Now that I've grown out of them, an MLP MMO would be something I'd love to play. 1 hello
cider float 2,538 June 7, 2015 Author Share June 7, 2015 (edited) Some quests that would be interesting to do in the MMO. 1. Take mail from the post office and take it to Ponyville. 2. Help escort timid Fluttershy and her baby chicks through Everfree Forest 3. Protect and herd Applejack's sheep from the Tinderwolves. 4. Gather party supplies for Pinkie's Party Crafting would definitely be important in a community based show used for questing. Gather parts and craft. Adventuring in Everfree Forest for more parts and fighting enemies. Minigames. Edited June 7, 2015 by cider float
