Yay! I have only read one fan fic so far, and it has three OCs in it, Granite Rose, Thorns, and Pencil Pouch

I think we should encourage fics that are based on FiM but focus on non-canon nor fanon characters. There's a vast world out there, so why do we condeem when ponies don't focus on the same old characters we've seen over and over again?

I personally like writing OC fics better cause there isn’t pressure to get someone else’s character right. If OCs are done well, I usually read the story. Too bad those type of stories don’t get as much exposure...

Fimfiction mods don't pick up only-OCs fics for proof read as often, so they can have you wait weeks for approval

I hardly ever read them, since canon characters just interest me more, but I have seen them done well.

I think I had to wait longer on my OC only story than the one I made with and OC and Rainbow Dash. At least now when I continue stories the approval is automatic.
