New Banner - Vinyl's Eye Color

So I have just seen the new banner and noticed how it has Vinyl Scratch with red eyes... how long has it been since this character's eye color was officially shown to be magenta?

 

I mean yes, for quite some time and even now for some red was popular color among the fans but with A Canterlot Wedding, comics, and Equestria Girls we have all seen what the mare's actual eye color is... what's up with the red eyes?

*shrugs* I personally despise red eyes for her, considering red is too abstract for blue-related colors, I personally love magneta more for her. Magneta has the passion of red in general, but the calm and coolness just like how blue colors do, but yeah. Hasbro had a better choice, and I agree, but yeah just like how everypony else here said banners here are made by members, not by staff. Sorry, my good friend who has actual taste in colors!

Her eyes may be red on the banner but officially her eyes are actually magenta.

Honestly, I don't even think her having such an eye color as red looks very good, as looks too out of place and makes her appear more as an albino... really that is the only way red eyes would make sense in my opinion.

Edit: Or, because of the fanfiction My Room mate is a Vampire, Vinyl having red eyes because of being a vampire. Heh

I agree with much of what you have said, I do feel magenta is a more appropriate color, mixing passion of red with calm of blue and also creative expression with intelligence. I can also point out that Vinyl's eye color matches up very well, if not exactly, with the color of her shades.

Her coat and eye color were debated for some time. People made a huge deal about it after the season 2 finale. In the end it was a silly debate because her actual eye color is not magenta or red. It's cerise ... the color of Rainbow Dash's eyes.

 

This topic just reminded me of that.

Hmm... I would say it actually look closer to magenta, but whatever. More a staff member said as much and there was the statement that they were the same color as Rainbow Dash's eyes. What matters is that the eyes aren't red.

Color correction can make things look funny depending. This is why my iTunes source looks different than what I downloaded. Hey original eye color was technically grey, we just didn't see it. Then when they changed it to cerise DHX ran it through color correction changing the eyes to red. 

 

That said, as the banner was member created, and not staff created, and this one is was actually member voted ...this is better suited for a status update.
