Not Yellow Diamond 925 June 30, 2015 Share June 30, 2015 (edited) Well, Twilight has been an Alicorn for a while. Anyone ever thought if another of the Mane 6 became an alicorn? If the show did it, they'd probably ALL become Alicorns but I don't see it happening. But, hypothetically, of the mane six; who do you think is most suited to be Equestria's next Alicorn Princess? Not Yellow Diamond 925 June 30, 2015 Author Share June 30, 2015 OH GOD NONE OF THEM I don't see why one would be more suited to become an alicorn than the others? I personally think Applejack is far more qualififed than Fluttershy or Pinkie Pie. I said Alicorn Princess for a reason, because with being an Alicorn, it's assumed you must become a princess. And with being a princess there are responsibilities, most definitley and one of those is addressing the public which I know would be difficult for Fluttershy to do and I think might be a challenge for Pinkie Pie as far as ethical and formal standards so that's an example of, therefore lack of; qualification.
Nature's Spell 526 June 30, 2015 Share June 30, 2015 (edited) None of them because they are just components of the overriding magic of friendship. Twilight, and all the princesses for that matter, have their position because they define their "element" Love, Friendship, the Moon and Sun. What it means to be a princess had already been defined by the writers. VengefulStrudel 1,495 June 30, 2015 Share June 30, 2015 All of them have qualities a leader, such as a princess, would have, even Fluttershy. I can't see one being more/less suited for leadership than another. They would be better as advisors rather than leaders though Check out my art thread for some cute ponies, cookies and boops. Nova12 53 June 30, 2015 Share June 30, 2015 At first guess, I'd say Rarity, because she's practically a princess already. But there are other traits of hers that would make her a good ruler, other than her love of luxury, like her natural leadership and generosity. As for the others, I'd say that while Pinkie would totally be the best princess ever, she's a bit to random to be a stable ruler, Fluttershy's a good peacetime princess but could never stand up for her kingdom in any soft of strife. Rainbow would actually make a decent princess, from her ability to lead and take charge, but it wouldn't help her ego. In all, I'd think a good choice for princess is Applejack. It might not seem so at first, but when you realize that she's humble and honest, as well as level-headed, reasonable, and good at taking charge and making decisions, she couldn't be a better leader. Then again, making anypony else in the mane 6 an alicorn would probably ruin the whole dynamic, so I guess it doesn't matter anyway. :comeatus: Nova12 here, who has an acute case of Pinkie Pie Addiction! manic 121 June 30, 2015 Share June 30, 2015 I'd say Fluttershy is probably the most pure-hearted. Pinkie would be more like Discord's successor XD
Cleverclover 1,526 June 30, 2015 Share June 30, 2015 None of them, of course. The show has done nothing if not confirm to us that the mane five are simply the means by which Twilight can progress forward into princesshood and that they themselves will never be anywhere near as great as she is. Magic Note 2,779 June 30, 2015 Share June 30, 2015 Applejack, obviously! Nah, I'm just kidding. I don't think any of the five are exactly ready to take on a full-time leadership role just yet. (coming soon)
Subscriber Denim&Venöm 20,505 June 30, 2015 Subscriber Share June 30, 2015 You pretty much sabotaged your own question by throwing in the "none of the above" choice. But I'm going to say Applejack. She's rational, level headed, possesses common sense, very loyal to her friends and family (arguably more than Rainbow), and just has a practical wisdom about things. SHe already tends to take charge during certain situations, so she seems pretty comfortable with giving direction. Next to Twilight, I'd consider her the leader of the remane 5.

I don't see how that would of sabotaged the question. With that option being present. The data implicates that none of them are suited because that is an option. If I were to not have that option it'd e like this "What Kind of ice cream do you want" "I don't want any" "No, you have to buy some" If you force someone to make a choice they HAVE to make then it isn't really their choice is it? You asked which of the remane 5 are most suited. That already constrained the choices. And the example you posed is flawed. If this post was "Who of the remane 5 do you want to be princess" then I can see the need for a None of the above, choice. Instead, you asked which of these would be best princess. To use your analogy, you'd be asking "which flavor of ice cream do you think is best?" Out of these options, which would be the best pick? It's not forcing someone to choose. It's getting someone to pick within the choices presented in the question.

I didn't ask "who you WANT" I asked who is "MOST SUITED" There is a difference. But I don't put up with negligence in my topics and risk them getting lock. If you have a legitimate night I add non permissible concern then please PM me about it an we can discuss but don't say anything unless it is on topic. Wanna talk, like I said PM me. Steve Piranha 29,496 July 1, 2015 Share July 1, 2015 I think is Pinkie Pie, surprisingly. Despite her childish personality, she's far more intelligent, perceptive, and, as shown in the last episode, organized than she lets on, besides, she's rather good with crowds. Main problem for her is not that she would be a good leader, is her STYLE of leadership, as it makes her look like she doesn't makes sense, while the end results do. AJ could be a good second, as she has leadership capabilities as she was a team leader in Winter Wrap up, despite rarery showing it afterwards. Main problem with her would be high society, as she normally shows poor etiquette with them, not to mention that ruling a territory is a bigger responsibility, as such, she might make the mistake to not see her decisions might lead to disasters like in the sleepover. I think a co-rule with Rarity could work wonders with her though Dashe is a capable leader, but her ego might get in the way. I expect her to be more of a substitute ruler for Twily, but not an alicorn princess material Sig by Discords

DND 2,355 July 1, 2015 Share July 1, 2015 I really think AJ is best up for a task of ruling. She's dependable, intelligent, strong, wise, and has a work ethic like no other. Her demeanor and attitude is a bit rough and tumble, but she recognizes what's appropriate and not in situations, although sometimes a bit to overcome by those particular instincts. NotoriousSMALL 1,984 July 1, 2015 Share July 1, 2015 None of them, really. Twilight was specially trained for it and none of the mane 6 seems capable of upholding the responsibility of a princess. Ever since one of them became an alicorn all of their personalities became lame. If one more becomes an alicorn they will sink this ship. Really? I don't see at all how Twilight has become such a flat character like some people describe her.
Prince Firemane 309 July 1, 2015 Share July 1, 2015 Well, I'd say either Applejack or Rarity. They both run their own businesses that are well off and rather well known. That shows a dependable work-ethic, adaptability and an ability to organize and handle pressure. They have their own personality traits that get in the way, but who doesn't? Twilight sure does and I'm sure Celestia, Luna and Cadance do as well.
