Mammary Glands Placed In Other Position...?

I mean most mammals seems to be built that way. With some exceptions, i believe elephants also have them on their chest, and so do humans and apes. I mean technically speaking it would be pretty awkward and inconvenient to have them down there when its more beneficial as a nourishing material that one can hold up when one recieves children.

But i've always wondered if that wasn't the case, how would it be like. I mean i am certain that animals have just the same types of hormones as humans. They just communicate differently and more on signals and instincts. While humans can talk and share ideas in a beneficial way. But how would it change our lives if teats where slightly above the crotch like most mammals have. I mean if you'd look at a girl (Well guys too. But its not as visible due to milk being nourishing for child) But in general, would you say it would be different approach than what it is now. Just wondering

Just a thought that crossed my mind :twi:

That'd make certain things really awkward. And not just well you know...but standing, sitting, laying down... Other mammals it works because they walk in four legs. The only times the teats are visible is when they stand up on their hind legs or on their back. So it doesn't look weird because you can't constantly see or rather notice since humans wear clothes to conceal theirs them. And even primates who's yes are located the same place don't walk like us so we don't see them all the time. It'd look really really off and weird if they were located you know. There. It wouldn't be a massive life changing thing. It'd just be awkward for people to see on a daily basis.

Well, women would be able to go topless without it causing a fuss.

The outlook would not pop out on the chest to say the least though, so thats a good point :-3. I guess that would be beneficial in terms of lack of embarrassment ^ _ ^

It would definitely lead to a significant redefinition of a 'feminine' shape, how clothes work... aesthetically and practically (in terms of clothes design, maybe how weight distribution works for girls (it would be a pretty big change). I mean, that crotch area is closer to the center of gravity so theoretically larger breasts might be less of a mechanical nuisance if they occurred at the crotch area? Damn this could lead to all sorts of interesting and utterly weird considerations...

They would still be pointlessly considered taboo in most of society, the only difference is a slight change of position. Can't say this question has ever crossed my mind though.

Then we'd be putting our children between our legs?? Wtf.

Imagine if our bodies would devolve to hooves and stuff :o. Although its beneficial for 4 legged creatures in terms of it ^ _ ^. Its natural selection kicking in to seek the beneficial part, nature working. yuuush ^^

Most of the breast tissue in human females is fat, stored there to produce their distinct shape which is (theorized) to imitate the shape of the buttocks, which in turn are indicative of a female's health and receptiveness to sexual advances in most mammals.

If humans had teats, I imagine that humans would commensurately lose all excess fat buildup there when not nursing, just like other mammals.

Undergarments would probably be underwear that sits very high on the waist to cover everything, and then there would be rebellious young 'uns with their fancy Calvin Klein Low-rider undergarments, for that extra breezy rush when you're riding your motorcycle.

Wait, you mean people's nips don't live above their crotch? My life is a lie.

Seriously though, I don't know. I don't really understand biology at all, but it's fascinating.

Nature knows what it's doing. They are in a place most convenient for the mother to nurse, whatever that mother happens to be. They're on humans' chests because a mother holds her baby. They're on a horses' abdomen because their foals stand to nurse and it keeps them in a slightly more convenient place than the ribcage where all the very large and important lungs are. Cats and dogs lie down, so they have rows of them. You may as well ask why we don't have six of them (answer: because multiples are rare in humans. animals on average have twice as many as they do offspring at a time).

well....girl's would finally have a good excuse for saying "do I look fat?"

and what would happen if they got really big? 0.0 you wouldn't be able to walk properly, you would have to tie them in a knot around you're waist.

Or you could get teat extenders and then make you're teats really really long and then you could let them flop down next to you're legs and then when people give you that funny look you can just say "I'm an octopus...deal with it"
