I don't want to have to lock this thread/suggest that any of you recieve the hefty 800 points that comes with a repeat offense.   By the way, Jonas, you don't have to hide- you haven't done anything wrong to the best of my knowledge. All this means is that this is another thread that I will be shadowing.

Oh no, I am just messing with you ;). I also know this rule very well because when I was still a total noob here, my first and only offense was that I broke the NSFW rule with excessive description of gore in a Fallout RP, so I received warning points. Ever since then, I have been a good boy, following the rules of this great place ;)

Guys, sorry i havent been active recently. I am currently on holiday and the wifi is terrible and only works at nights. I will give you guys permission to use my character when needed, and then ill start off where you have left her when i return. Again, i appologise for my abscence.

Also, regarding the fan fiction bassed on this, you can use my characters for both, as long as i get a copy to read ;)

(edited)

I noticed a lack of activity in the RP for the past couple days. i am wondering if it has to do with the rp being a bit too confusing to understand or is it that everyone is busy and i am just being paranoid.

@@Randimaxis, @, @@Sinusoid, @@Yoshikupo, @@JonasDarkmane, @@Ranger22,I have an announcement I am going to restart this RP and divide it into three parts because each part of the rp had it's own premise that could easily be their own RPs. example the first part was a murder mystery. the middle is a jumbled mess of plots that weren't going any where, and the current part we are on currently is barely making sense. I am also doing this so i could do some corrections to the story in general. like explain what exactly is the villains motives behind the murder, why are they invading Equestria, who exactly are the corrupted ones, also make some other changes.

also I would like to hear your opinions on this decision.

I think it would work better, it might also work better in case we are bringing in other characters, but really need an opening for it.

You've got a decent idea, there... but may I make a couple of suggestions?

1: Keep a linear idea for each story.  There's been a great deal of zipping back & forth between story arcs, and it's gotten a mite confusing.  I noticed more than one post where the players didn't seem to know what was going on.  Now, there's no rule saying you can't keep characters in the dark about what's happening, but when players get lost, there's an issue.

You might want to roll all three along simultaneously, then bring them all together for a big conglomeration storyline in the future - it might be tough, but worth the effort if done right!  I'm sure any of us would be more than happy to help you out if you need it!  We ARE friends here, and friendship is... well, YOU know.

2: Tone down or divvy-up the power levels of the villains.  I've noticed a tendency for the villains to have a "teflon coating" - meaning that it seems like NOTHING sticks to them.  For example, Rave's Dark Magic doesn't seem as effective as it normally should have been, and that came across as a bit frustrating.  Instead, I'd suggest having lesser evils that ARE affected more thoroughly, or balance out power with drawbacks.

Powerful villains attract followers - at least that tends to be the norm.  Why not have the group(s) encounter those followers more frequently?  This way, it gives the group(s) a chance to defeat something and thereby make a difference without having to nerf your villains as much.  The group(s) can feel like they can accomplish a goal, and the main villains can seem that much more potent when it does come time to meet them in person.

Drawbacks can make for excellent dramatic moments.  Remember in Aladdin when Jafar became a genie?  Phenomenal Cosmic Power - itty-bitty living space?  That made it possible for an ending the characters were trying to achieve... and Aladdin himself came up with that idea.  Have a majorly powerful villain that has a CRIPPLING fear of something commonplace - but make it difficult for the heroes to discover.  Give them an addiction that, once discovered, can be exploited for the win... like an addiction to Poison Joke.

You can make powerful villains, yes - but make certain you give your 'heroes' a chance to win; imagine how Rainbow Dash would feel if she kept getting saved by powerful NPCs all the time, instead of being able to fight & win for herself?

"Oh, great - another bad guy who I can't bash.  SO uncool... I'm just gonna head back to Cloudsdale & wait for it to be over, thanks."

I like the storyline you've got here, by the way - very creative.  Just leave room in it for the heroes to be... y'know... HEROES.

I'll just... go sit quietly in the corner, now.  Just trying to help.  *hides in corner*

the things you have pointed out are some reasons why I decided to redo this RP. as for the villains thing I have noticed that all of the major villains seem invincible in the RP because I don't convey their flaws at all. originally I was gonna make Spinner over confident which would lead to her underestimating the heroes, but as you well know she kind of doesn't appear as such.

I am now going to give them the extreme versions of the same flaws as their Equestrian counterparts. which would make spinner a perfectionist that just one thing goes wrong she loses her composer and thought process for example.

as for the simultaneous RPs I need to think of how I need to do that without confusing myself too badly.

also thank you for your suggestions, so please don't hide in the corner.

@@Scare Effect,

ok so were restarting, that's fine...are they based on the heartless? I can totally see that

no but that would be cool for them to be based on the heartless but no if anything they are closer to nobodies .

To make my previous question clear what character are each of the corrupted ones are based on.(more specifically mlp characters)

@, @@Sinusoid, @@JonasDarkmane, @@Ranger22,

okay the new OOC is up:https://mlpforums.com/topic/135865-the-new-demensional-warreboot/

also this questions for Cruki and Ranger22, you both posted the least amount in the previous RP due to having no place to put your characters in with out them seeming forced. so the question is are you both interested in being in the reboot version of the same RP?
