How you feel about Season 5 being on hiatus?

I don't really care at all. On top of work and house repairs, I have lots to fill my time with. I'm working on making BO2 MLP emblems, re-watching Sonic SatAM, saving up for an Xbox One and Fallout 4 (hopefully Pip-Boy Edition), learning TF2 so I can play with my friends more, watching a shedload of YouTubers, editing wikiHow, and coming here to MLP Forums.

I won't get bored.

Off topic a bit. Argumedies, your avatar picture is very pretty!

On topic. I hated the mid-season breaks we had in a couple Doctor Who seasons, and I hate this pony break as well!

Thank you but im not sure who made it but i liked it enough to display it for them

As a fan of ONCE Upon a Time, I'm used to mid season breaks. Season 3 and 4 of ONCE these past two years were split into two half seasons each. The 1st half of each season aired during the Fall months; The 2nd half aired during the Spring Months. What I did during those breaks was rewatch the season arcs focusing on just one character, then rewatch the season focusing on another character. I even speculate what's going to happen in the future season arc.

That's my advice about this MLP:FiM hiatus: rewatch episodes, come up with Wild Mass Guesses, maybe even get around to finishing that Fanfic you've been reading or writing. The episodes WILL come. We just have to wait a little longer but they WILL come.

It was kind of inevitable, but I feel like Discovery Family shot themselves in the foot by doing this. I'm disappointed, but I don't think I'll be bored to tears.

It is annoying. but necessary. Summer is an awful time for ratings as kids have more free time and are out more. If season 5 aired as planned, ratings would plummet and there may not be a season 6. Meanwhile it seems like this hiatus was planned from the start as there are three holiday based episodes in season 5, that will likely release near their respective holidays, and so are likely to be ratings smashes. My only hope is that this makes the gap between 5 and 6 smaller

I barely survive between season's but the next movie still has a couple of months till it's released. Here's hoping season 5 will wrap up before the next Equestria girls comes out.

Even though season 5 is turning out to be easily my favourite season so far, I don't feel too annoyed about the hiatus... I still have lots of older episodes I've been meaning to re-watch, and I might even try out G1 if I don't forget about it, so I won't be running low on ponies anytime soon. :P Though, I only started watching the show from the beginning November last year, and had all the episodes I missed finished off just before season 5 began...  for someone who didn't have new episodes during the 4-5 hiatus, I can see how this must be annoying. :(

A few hours before the correction, I read season 6 would be here in the winter and went, "Nice. It's going strong".

When I learned of the hiatus, I was like, "Huh? Ok. That was a weird mistake".

Plus, one of favorite shows returned during the hiatus, so still got something great to look forward to ^^

It annoys me a tad that Hasbro and Discovery Family are doing this, but it's par for the course in the arena of children's television nowadays. Previous commenters are right, summer is a terrible time to air kids' shows, because many kids are on/off with vacations, summer camps, and just playing outside. When it's 86 degrees and sunny and things like amusement parks, swimming pools, and playgrounds are open, what kind of kid sits at home and watches TV anytime but after dark? When it's 41 degrees out, windy, and it gets dark at 7 PM, though, it's much more likely that parents will keep them huddled around the TV.
