Derpy Muffins or Ditzy Doo what do you call her?

I call her Muffins. Yeah, when I see her I often think, "Derpy" but I don't like that name. That name has been so unavoidable in this fandom that it sticks in my head.

For me, I would always call her Derpy Hooves as that is the name that I got to know her by and had fun looking for her in every episode, Regardless of name, she will always be our beloved muffin-loving mail mare.

That was her name before Hasbro decided to jump on the PC bull$#!t bandwagon.

 

Anyway, at least they didn't axe her completely and she talks again.

 

 

I call her derpy why because that what the fandom called her when she was just a glitched out background pony, but what do you call her and why?

 

I still don't know why people think Derpy "herself" is a glitch? She was definitely VERY intentionally made- It was just a mistake that she showed up in the final episode due to stuff in that scene being changed later on, and someone just not noticing the goofy face.

I say Derpy, it's the original name, and it doesn't sound offensive to me. I don't like the censorship of it, either.

I call her Ditzy Doo. One main reason being the word derpy was used as an insult towards the disabled in South Park and the meaning of the word means retarded, stupid, not all there. While Ditzy just means dumb or innocent. Which is exactly what she is. Just an innocent pony with a disability trying to help causes accidents or sometimes actually does something x100 better than the intended result.

I refer to her as Dizty online but mostly when talking to friends, I say the first thing that come to mind which is Derpy. Most names are fine and cute to me though.

Okay! I've settled on Muffins with "Derpy Doo" being her nickname.

 

Since her canon name is now officially Muffins, I'll accept that.

 

But since the "Derpy" name is iconic, I'll still call her that but see it as a nickname.

 

Also, Muffins The Mail Mare has a great alliterave appeal!
