Pony Trixie as a roommate, or Human Trixie as a girlfriend?

Which would you rather have?

And yes, they're still assholes.

EDIT: Changed topic title.

Human Trixie. Mainly because having a sentient creature as a pet is pretty weird. Even though she isn't human I believe that still counts as a civil rights violation.

Hasbro doesn't seem to think so. They did name the franchise "MY Little Pony."

But in all serious, if any ponies from the show lived with me, I'd give them the freedom to do whatever they wanted as long as they weren't being dicks toward me.

I would think human trixie would be preferable; can you imagine being the only sentient pony on earth?

I'm not sure that's actually worse than being the only blue-skinned human on earth. Lol.

Equestrian ponies are sapient creatures with human-level intelligence.

Why would you keep one as a pet?

Wouldn't that be like slavery?

Only if you treat them like dogs. It doesn't necessarily have to be that way.

In the end, they're still animals. You can give them the same freedoms that you have, but if you're giving them food, a roof over their head, and plenty of love, I'd like to think that still qualifies them as pets.

I would probably prefer human trixie since having a blue magical unicorn around the house or with me will be very strange to the rest of the world. Then the FBI might want to go take Trixie to do experiments on her.

Humans are animals, too.

Equestrian ponies have a written and spoken language, a government, schools, arts, sciences... I think it's reasonable to say that they should be considered equal to humans.

Pony Trixie.

'Cause then I can say "to hell with the pet thing, let's get some nachos, then we'll watch Houdini afterwards."

Unless Pony Trixie doesn't have the same intelligence level, in which case I'd pick Human Trixie.

Fair enough. But I can't see another species being integrated into human society that easily, no matter how intelligent they are. A lot of us still can't even accept different minorities as human.

If I had an Equestrian pony staying over, I'd be worried sick every time she went out. Trixie in particular would get herself into all kinds of trouble.

GUESS WHAT?!

I love both versions of Trixie, but I'm pretty much "in love" with the human counterpart of Trixie.Definitely is my favorite version...and..oh...she also plays the electric guitar.

This is the best answer for an otherwise no-win situation if you had to choose between one of the two options, [unable to refuse, like with a gun in your head].

But it's the point of the franchise! "My" Little Pony. Indulging the fantasy kids supposedly have of owning their own pony. And if the pony can shoot magic lazers, even better. Probably.

Do you realize how much your avatar looks like a ponified confederate plantation owner when you talk like that?

Human Trixie as a girlfriend, because treating a sapient pony just as smart as me as a pet is kinda...Eh.

I'd date Pony Trixie too though, if that was an option.

Twilight is best pony.
