gaming Bethesda Mysterious Teaser...

Celestial Sloth

Recommended Posts

Just thought I'd attempt to round up some speculation regarding this Bethesda teaser:

http://www.egmnow.co...t-announcement/

It's not a long article, but it is interesting. What do you all think?

I'm personally hoping for Fallout 4, but there really isn't that much to go on.

Fallout 4

You had me at hello. I'm a bit of a diehard Fallout fan and I personally anticipate this installment more than anything else right about now... and if it's announced, perchance, that the locale of the game is post-Great War New York City?

You can rest assured knowing that I will have a delighted paroxysm and go into a coma.

keep it real .

Looks more like something for Skyrim or Doom. The facial hair textures and are too fine too be related to the ones used in the engine used for Fallout 3 or Fallout: NV.

Now, it is just good and honest speculation isn't it? Isn't nearly everything an ad, by that logic? Anyway, I would be hoping for a new Fallout set in Legion territory, like Flagstaff and the five state union.

Post-apocalyptic NYC? We already have that Veece, it's called Staten Island. ^_^

Less teasers, ponies, more actual content.

It's a freaking Ad.

You just did Bethesda's job for them.

This is an thread is now Ad by by being more hits on Google.

This generation, seriously. ._.

Good, I hope they can get enough insane theorists like me to spread it around. I'm all for supporting Bethesda, and if it means advertising for them while posting in forums that I enjoy then it's a win-win.

All that deserved was "lol" and closing the tab.

What you are doing is aimlessly following Beth for making few good games in the past.

Provide input backwards, don't follow just because past good things.

Keeping that up will make worse games in the long run since you will happily eat everything Beth decides to feed you.

They just got away with the worst cliffhanger Ad I have ever seen.

Be critical, question everything. Saves a lot of tears in the long run.

Wonder why MW3 is so average?

Because fans let Activison get away with it.

Forums full of "OMG" makes Developer a a dull boy.

Same thing.

Supporting and aimlessly taking everything given are two separate things.

Well, when Bethesda's train crashes into the ground, I'll dust myself off after escaping the luggage section and pretend I had nothing to do with their downfall. I strongly doubt it'll be any of my dreams of Fallout 4, but a man can dream.

Also, the problem with this ad is it has a one-day limit. People are expecting announcements tomorrow because of the 'cryptic' single word "tomorrow", which doesn't really give them much time to gather much speculation considering I only know one person who cares about what game forums say.

Truth be told, I found Skyrim to be a bunch of copypasta boredom after the first few hours logged. My love is less for Bethesda than for the Fallout franchise itself - the story, gameplay, atmosphere, et cetera. While it may not be the best out there, so to speak, I enjoy it thoroughly and anticipate another title because I was duly satisfied with their last entry in the Fallout series, Fallout 3.

While I'd have preferred some concrete evidence to a teaser, anything that suggests a Fallout 4 eschews fond middle school nostalgia from yours truly over many weekend hours logged into the game.

First person/3rd person Sandbox game where you can do anything based on fictional universe in the past/future using the Bethesda's revolutionary "pip-boy" GUI.

Part 4-5/3-5

Stagnation is death and Bethesda is resorting to Necromancy.

Fallout died after Tactics for me.

3 was a average sandboxer with too many limitations that used a good IP to sell well.

Well, I'm admittedly ignorant to the intricacies of the industry. I still enjoyed it, sure, but maybe that speaks more to an unrefined taste than to Bethesda's strengths. Probably does. I'd imagine that what you're saying is right but, sad enough as it is, I can't really tell the difference.

Consumerism, what have you, has skewed my perception.

All I can do is speak for myself and cater to my knowledge.

Where I see a pit is solid ground for you.

Abandon all hope who walk this path.

Oblivion, F:3, F:NV and Skyrim use the same User Interface and basically same graphical engine and voice actors.

And 20% of the sprites are the same across all the games add that to the fact that they use pretty much the same colour palette.

Oh. AND the games have the same content. Doing quests.

I kept wondering after F3 why people even bother with Bethesda.

And then the games were slated for Game of the Year.

Hooray for the gamer lambs murdering individuality and innovation.

oh i found out one more thing on bethesda's twitter account they said

"you know, we do make other games besides Skyrim. :)"

as everyone thinks that it is going to be about skyrim,

i think could be a new fallout release or a game they haven't made in a long time like doom.

This is what the picture from yesterday was for, a cinematic release of a new game Bethesda is producing "Dishonored"

http://www.egmnow.co...ematic-trailer/

Seems more of a cross between Assassins creed Bioshock and Singularity. All of which are great games, but it's not being made by Bethesda they're only producing it... It's being made by a studio called Arkane, I haven't seen much of what they've produced so this game could either go GOTY or at the bottom of the list.

Steampunk Assassin's Creed is the simplest way I could describe it.

From what I can gather, it looks more like a Steampunk first-person Hitman, what with the strongholds and optional extra-stealthy bonuses.
