So, we all know how royalty works? When the king/queen (in power at the time) meets there end, there next in line takes there position of power.

 

Cadance is he is also stated to be "a very distant relative" of Princess Amore, the former unicorn ruler of the Crystal Empire. Who was in power at the time in the Empire after Princess Amore? (give or take a few years) King Sombra.

 

King Sombra's wanted to use the (crystal) ponies for his own gain. After that massive ordeal that was episode S3 episode 1 + 2 who was shown to be the leader to rule the empire after King Sombra's 'death' it was.... Mi Amore Cadenza.

 

What I am saying is simple, are Princess Amore, Cadance and Sombra all some how related in some way or form. (I had this head canon/theory for quite a while now). Because like I said they were and all royalty. And after the 'unspecified' most likely passing of Princess Amore, Sombra was later left in power, after him? Mi Amore Cadenza and Shining Armour were left in charge on the empire.

 

NOTE: I don't know if the comics are even canon to the back-story of Sombra/MLP in general so yeah.

 

What do you think? Is Sombra a relative (of sorts) to Cadenza and Princess Amore

If the FIENDship comics are canon, then his only connection with Cadance is that he turned her ancestor Amore into rubble.

 

But if they aren't canon, then I don't know.

I don't think they're that related.. I just think they had a bad relationship at first and went on.
