I got an email from her stating that she is Suspended until Jan. 1st 2015,Due to being under 13

It's A Shame that they make such rules,no one should be rejected from things due to age,even though it's temporary, thats a long time for someone who loved the site.

It's to cover the sites back. No one under 13 is allowed on here, due to it being a 13+ site, though nothing on here is really NSFW, because that's against the rules. And the 13+ thing is very common on internet forums. She knowingly broke one of the most known rules. I've done stupid shit before, I ain't gonna be a hypocrite and say how stupid it was, cause I'm also stupid.

 

But if they had left her knowing she is under 13, and her parents saw something they don't like, it ain't her that's getting in trouble, it's the staff.

The age minimum on here is 13, due to the American Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. While MLPF is based in Canada, they operate in the US as well, and so they have to comply with US as well as Canadian law. Feel free to complain about it, but as long as they want to operate in the United States, they have to comply with American law, and failure to comply with COPPA in particular can result in massive fines or even being shut down.

I joined when I was 14 and then turned 15 a few days afterwards. I'm 18 now.

 

Sometimes I don't understand the 13+ thing either, but it's there for a reason to protect those under 13. But who follows it anyway?

Well,in a way she is very lucky , she can be happy for a few reasons

• It will be a new year
• It will be Her and MY birthday
• She is Already 12
• she has to wait Only Four Months
