How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: There I was, curled up on my basement couch playing Halo 4 for twenty hours straight... Don't worry, I'll cut to the chase. I'll spare you the reading and my fingers the typing. I looked up the first episode on an early Saturday morning about four weeks before the world was suppose to end in 2012. Ahem... so hi, my name's Tangy, welcome to my post. I'd like to start off by thanking you, whoever you are. There are 9 super-forums on here with a total of 30 sub-forums. If you total those totals together you get about 105,000 topics you can post in. And you choose to click on mine? Honestly it's too much, I thank you. A little bit about myself? I'm glad you asked. Well I'm 18 years old, have been for about 20 days, so I'm practically a professional at being an adult. I'm an artist. My profile pic is a work-in-progress sign because I'm currently drawing my profile pic. I'm in AP Art, so I like to consider myself good, but I'm the only kid in the class who isn't going into an art major. My true passion in life is computer programming and computer science. I've worked in Java throughout high school and I learned C++ on my own with a bunch of other programming concepts. I get joy out of reading computer science books. I guess I'm a geek or nerd, but I'm not the best student. I purposely don't do English homework because I'm too busy trying to build computer programs. Aside from loving computer programming and art, I'm a gamer. I started playing Halo 2 when I was really young on the Xbox Original and have loved gaming ever since. Recently I've gotten into Smite and just got into League of Legends. I'm not new to this fandom, I've been a brony since early 2013, and I've successfully infected two of my other friends, turning them into bronies as well. Uhhh, let's see what else is there. I like movies, I like all kinds of movies. Even Pacific Rim, listen, I paid $6 to go see a movie about giant robots fighting giant monsters and that's what I got, I'm not complaining. I'm an Eagle Scout so there's that too. But I'll wrap this up. I don't wanna bore you guys too much. My biggest fear is that I'm coming in way too late and this forum as a whole is dying, but hopefully that is not the case. Hope you enjoy yourself here and make some great friends. If you need any help while browsing around or just wanna chat, feel free to drop me a line. Having another programmer on board is always a plus, especially in C++ and Java. I might know a guy you can talk to about making games, if you're ever interested in doing such a thing. We also will occasionally get a coding-related project floating around here, so if you're ever interested in something like that, keep your eyes peeled. I forgot--AND you're an artist! Whew, double whammy. You're going to be quite popular around here, I think. If you want to put your art skills to the test, I recommend you check out Octavia's Hall and open up a request shop. Tangy 44 October 4, 2015 Author Share October 4, 2015 Thanks for the BIG welcome! My Eagle Scout project was building an unusually large Nativity-scene-structure. I don't know what it's called but typically it is the small wooden structure that is over baby Jesus. I had to build one over an entire 12 foot wide 6 feet tall scene. It's great really... they gave me a picture of a similar structure and said, "I want that." And me, being as unprepared as ever I said, "Sure!" Oh god, it was hell. I work with software, not hardware. Anyways I finished it and had my border review 7 days before my 18th birthday. Tons of fun all around. It's so awesome to see a lot other programmers on this site. I actually started learning C++ through game programming concepts and designs. Then I went more in depth with a Tony Gaddis Textbook. 1300 pages of fun, trust me, a lot better than Homecoming. 5 The ride never ends Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I too, started out gaming when I was a kid and I too started by playing Halo. However, I played the FIRST Halo game on my Original Xbox back in the day, I have never really tried Halo 2, but would love to someday since I love the first game so much and have loved it since what feels like forever.
