What would the ponies think if they knew you shipped them?

Sometime after you get acquainted with all the ponies, they discover some fics and fan art of them, made and signed BY YOU, in awkward romance situations.

How do you think they'd take it?

Oh yeah, no pony can get enough of the Dashter.

This shows so much about human culture.  I am going to write a report on it right away.

Eep, um, you mean I am that...um popular with the bronies?

Rarity downloads the whole lot onto CDs in the background then vanishes.

Rainbow Dash would probably be both embarrassed and flattered that she gets shipped with literally everything and anything

Thank you Randimaxis for this Wonderful Avatar. smile.png

Please, don't be afraid to talk to me. I am not as unapproachable, as you might think.

I think the whole shipping thing totally breaks down once you actually are in Equestria and know the ponies personally.  Shipping is about imaging characters in some other world.  Once you're right there with them, I think all of that would break and and you would find yourself having a crush on your special somepony.  (Or a few crushes... there are a lot of very nice ponies in Equestria)

Not necessarily. We all have opinions about potential relationships between others, even in our own world. In high school, my brother's wife used to date a worthless jackass who was totally incapable of empathy. Even if nobody wanted to straight up tell her he was jackass in fear of upsetting her, some of us would think, "Why the hell is she with him? Wouldn't she be much better off with *insert nicer guy here*?" Nobody really anticipated seeing her in wedlock with my own brother, but it happened for the best. They gave me a niece to send 4de pony plushes to every Christmas, and for that I'm grateful.

So I don't believe it's out of the question for some people to think that way about the ponies if they'd met them in real life. Just as people like to gossip over celebrities and debate who they should have a relationship with, it could happen with any pony you could name. I don't see fans of Appledash or Twidash choosing not to support them just because they would know them personally. They'd just keep doing it in secret, which of course gets shot to hell for the subject of this thread.

I remember shipping someone in the forums...thought they wouldn't mind....it actually disturbed them... Learned a valuable lesson..... If it dosn't disturb you... It dosn't mean it dosn't disturb them.... So yeah... I think they'll take it negatively..... Like they'll say something like. " Please mind your own business"
